Relatório de Estágio Acesso fechado Relatório de estágio curricular supervisionado em medicina veterinária: clínica, cirurgia e reabilitação de cães e gatos(2020) Puntel, Camila FerreiraThe curricular internship was held at Hospital Veterinário Jurerê, Florianópolis / SC, in clinic, rehabilitation and surgery for small animals, between August 3rd and September 29th, 2020, totalizing 360 hours, divided in 40 hours per week. It was supervised by veterinarian MV. Luma Garcia and oriented by professor Joares Adenilson May Júnior. During the internship, 73 consultations were followed up, 28 medical returns/reviews, 26 surgeries, 75 imaging exams and 73 immunizations, 17 physical therapies and 51 hospitalizations. Three cases were monitored in the clinical and surgical routine and reported in this study: Endoscopic removal of gastric foreign body, snakebite accident by Bothrops snake and rupture of the external jugular by bite. The mandatory curricular internship allows the academic to actively participate in the medical and surgical routine, to work as a team, adds knowledge and practice. It is a period of great importance to the student because it gives the opportunity to explore the different areas and possibilities, bringing a broader vision and greater self-security to work in the future.Relatório de Estágio Acesso fechado Relatório de estágio supervisionado em medicina veterinária: clínica e cirurgia de pequenos animais(2020) Bettiol, AdelleThe curricular internship was held at the Jurerê Veterinary Hospital, located in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, from August 3 to October 6, 2020. A total of 360 hours distributed in 8 hours daily in the clinical and surgery sectors of small animals, under the supervision of veterinary physician Luma Garcia dos Santos and oriented by veterinary doctor and professor Jairo Nunes Balsini. During the internship, 92 appointment, 27 returns, 21 surgeries, 3 emergencies, 94 immunizations and 112 imaging tests were accompanied. From these, 3 cases were selected and reported: Intestinal inflammatory disease associated with lymphangiectasia, report of a Bothrops sp. snake accident that occurred to a cat and secondary brain tumor in a dog. The curricular internship is essential to enhance future veterinarians’ practical skills. It is determinant in academic life and it is a phase of great learning, which allows us to participate actively and truly experience veterinary medicine.
