Artigo Científico Acesso fechado Avaliação da estabilidade dimensional e escoamento do AH Plus em diferentes temperaturas de armazenamento(2020) Fiorenza, Patricia BorgesAH Plus, released in 1997, is a sealer based on epoxy resin widely used in endodontics due to its excellent characteristics and ease of handling. It is recommended by the manufacturer that its storage should be between 10°C and 24°C so that there is a good performance of the sealer, without changing its properties. However, in Brazil the weather varies a lot and can be higher than the storage temperature indicated by the manufacturer, making some dentists keep AH Plus in the refrigerator. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of flow properties and dimensional change of AH Plus sealer at different storage and spatulation temperatures. The sealer was divided into three groups, according to storage temperature: Group 1: 5°C; Group 2: 20°C; Group 3: 35°C. The tests were performed based on previous literature proposed by Carvalho et al (2007) and the results compared and analyzed according to the standards established by American National Standards Institute/American Dental Association (ANSI/ADA), specification number 57 and ISO 6876/2012. The data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk and ANOVA One Way tests. In the results for both tests, there was no statistically significant difference between the groups evaluated. G1 did not take prey within the established time and was removed from the dimensional change test. It is concluded that variations in the storage temperature can cause changes in the dimensional change property. In addition, according to international guidelines, only on the flow property did AH Plus cement meet the standards.
