Artigo Científico Acesso fechado O método isostretching® e a hidrocinesioterapia na correção postural e ganho de amplitude articular de ombro em pacientes submetidas à mastectomia(2017) Yuasa, Ana CarolinaInduction: Breast cancer is a malignant neoplasm that grows in a disordered and uncontrolled way reaching the breast tissue and its peripheries and one of its methods of treatment is the mastectomy that it is a surgical procedure in order to spread the affected tissue. As a result of the surgical procedure, some postural changes occur due to the acquired analgesic posture, and joint limitations also occur due to the surgical incision and its complications. This study will be compared to the effectiveness of the Isostretching® method and hydrokinesiotherapy for joint amplitude gain and postural correction. Methods and Materials: A study of the experimental type performed at the Clinic School of Physical Therapy at Unisul, Tubarão - SC. It was performed in 10 sessions consisting of the evaluation, which analyzes the joint amplitude of the shoulder in the abduction and flexion movements and the postural evaluation of the trunk and upper limbs; after applying the two therapeutic methods in two distinct groups (8 sessions); and reevaluation. Results: The estimated sample number (n = 30) was not achieved. A total sample of 6 volunteers divided into 2 groups (n = 3) each was obtained. In the comparison there was no statistically significant increase of articular amplitudes and postural alignments (p <0.05) in the physiotherapeutic treatments compared. Final Remarks: In the present study, the two methods demonstrated similar effects, however, the result was not significant (p <0.05) because the number of volunteers estimated for the study was not reached. It is suggested that further studies be performed.
