Artigo Científico Acesso fechado Os efeitos da criolipólise na pseudoginecomastia(2018) Lima, Mayara da Silva Oreano FerreiraIntroduction: Localized adiposity is a dysfunction that most prevails the treatments in the clinics. One technique that has emerged as the main conduit for localized fat reduction is cryolipolysis. Increased adipose tissue can occur due to hyperplasia (enlargement) and hypertrophy (enlargement) of the cells. In Gynecomastia the increase of the glandular tissue happens, already in the pseudoginecomastia is the increase of adipose tissue. For the reduction of pseudoginecomastia we used the noninvasive technique of cryolipolysis. The mechanism that results in immediate depositary bankruptcy and gradual apoptosis of adipocytes, inflammatory panniculitis, phagocytosis process and consequently cleaning of the involved site. Objective: To evaluate the effect of Cryolipolysi, in reducing adipose tissue in pseudoginecomastia. Methodology: Patients were evaluated using Analog Scale (EVA), and for the physical examination the Cescorf ® adipometer was used to measure the localized fat, perimetry for the measurement of the circumference of the chest and photos for the before/after comparison. Results: Data were collected from June to October 2018, where the sample had 7 volunteers. After 90 days of the procedure, a statistically significant result was observed in the Wilcoxon test in relation to the decrease in the perimetry of the volunteers (p = 0.027). Conclusion: In the present study, cryolipolysis proved to be effective in reducing pseudoginecomastia, however, more researches with a larger sample and more applications are needed to elucidate the efficacy of the technique.
