Artigo Científico Acesso aberto Aplicação da radiofrequência na adiposidade localizada no abdômen(2017) Silva, Gabrielli Aparecida; Costa, Larissa LacerdaAbstract: Localized adiposity is characterized by the excess of adipocytes found in a disorderly way in regions of the body. Among the aesthetic resources used to attenuate and treat this alteration, radiofrequency (RF) stands out. The RF when applied on adipose tissue produces a stimulation of fat catabolism, favorable in body aesthetic treatments. Objective: To analyze the therapeutic effects of RF on adiposity located in the abdomen. Methodology: Exploratory, pre-experimental, qualitative-quantitative and longitudinal research. Participated 7 women, 20 to 29 years old, were evaluated by anamnesis form, photographic record and satisfaction questionnaire. Received abdominal RF, at 40 to 42ºC, twice a week, totaling 8 sessions. Results: By means of perimetry performed at the evaluation and four days after the last day of care showed average reduction of 1.7 cm for measurements of 5 cm above and below the umbilical scar and of 2.3 cm for the measurements in the line of umbilical scar. Final considerations: The therapeutic effects produced by RF evidenced the reduction in the adiposity located in the abdomen, the modeling in the abdominal contour, and the referred 'good satisfaction' by the participants.Artigo Científico Acesso embargado Eficácia clínica das ondas de choque na adiposidade localizada e no fibro edema geloide: revisão bibliográfica(2017) Vill, Bruna Lemos; Bergamo, Rocheli VehrmeisterIn the process of human evolution, the beauty pattern underwent several changes and, due to the great massification of communications, an aesthetic trend emerged, in which adiposity and irregularities of the skin, such as cellulite (popular term) and stretch marks, are little accepted by society. However, from the definition of the concept of health as a complete physical, psychological and social well-being, and not only as an absence of disease, it was possible to understand that the aesthetic disturbance poses a threat to the individual's emotional integrity resulting from the alteration of the scheme body and self-esteem. The SWT (Shock Wave Therapy) is one of the most recent and current techniques for the treatment of localized adiposity and cellulite, presenting within the area of the great aesthetic rise. The present study aimed to review a literature on the clinical and clinical practice of shock wave therapy in localized adiposity and celullite. The literature review was performed in Pubmed and Medline database for the period 2000-2017 considering originality and relevance as well as accuracy and adequacy of the experimental design, which included a total of six articles on the effects of SWT. The research confirmed the results of both focused and radial SWT in cellulite and localized adiposity, through skin smoothing afflicted by weakening or even rupture of fibrous septa, mobilization of fat cells, reduction of local edema and thickness of fat layer by decreased adipose tissue affected by programmed cell death, maintaining results even months after treatment.
