Artigo Científico Acesso embargado Comércio Internacional, sustentabilidade e mudança climática: análise das principais áreas trabalhadas pela ONU e pela OMC através da linguagem(2020) Nóbrega, Andressa VieiraThe United Nations (UN) and the World Trade Organization (WTO) work on several themes together, including issues related to Climate Change and Sustainability. This article focus on some frequent topics discussed at the WTO Ministerial and the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The main objective is to deliver a glossary with the most updated terminology of the documents and discussions, not only for translators in the area, but also to facilitate the understanding of entrepreneurs, investors, political leaders and other players. It is an exploratory research, because it is developed exclusively upon bibliographic and documentary sources, specially the journals available on the website of the International Center for Trade and Sustainable Development (ICTSD), a Swiss non-governmental organization that has worked for several years at the intersection of Climate Change, Sustainability and International Trade. Concepts and terminology were also gathered in documents and reports from federal and state public agencies, research centers, United Nations programs and non-profit organizations. In addition to the ICTSD journals, the works of Ribeiro, W. (2014), Steffen (2018) and Pegorelli (2014) stand out. For the climate, there are no barriers. It is a common threat, which requires coordinated and joint work, especially among the nations and actors that contribute the most to the phenomenon. Hopefully, this research will promote the awareness on the topic, allowing sustainability to increasingly permeate society's daily life.
