Proposed article with the purpose of explaining the use and impacts of Internet of Things - IoT in urban farms and gardens, with the identification of these mainly in the food production chain, reducing costs, reducing the use of and consequently in the possibility of less conflict with the environment. THE intent is to present and situate the IoT and its processes within a production of urban food, as well as giving importance to planning in this production. We seek to demonstrate some cases and identify their impacts. The purpose is precisely in the exhibition and in the collection of information, mainly with regard to a tendency world with the use of Internet of Things - IoT technology. The applied methodology will be with the use of bibliographic data, being primary and secondary sources to identify applicability and perceived impacts.
