O presente estudo tem como objetivo evidenciar, por meio de uma revisão de literatura, os benefícios da reabilitação fisioterapêutica manual em pacientes com disfunção temporomandibular (DTM). Métodos: Foram inseridos artigos publicados nas bases de dados eletrônicas BVS, Pubmed, Scielo, PEDro e Cochrane, com uma amostra específica de pacientes com disfunção na articulação temporomandibular submetidos a tratamentos fisioterapêuticos, publicados em periódico indexado em língua inglesa, espanhola ou portuguesa no período de 5 anos. Resultados: Um montante de 92 estudos foram vistos nas bases de dados, destes, 5 foram separados para a realização desta revisão concluindo uma amostra total de 334 pacientes com disfunção na articulação temporomandibular submetidos a intervenções fisioterapêuticas. Conclusão: Através da presente revisão sistemática. Podemos observar a eficácia da terapia manual associada com exercícios fisioterapêuticos na reabilitação e no tratamento da disfunção temporomandibular.
