A Importância da Ovariossalpingoesterectomia (OSH) na prevenção de doenças relacionadas ao trator reprodutor de cadelas

Resumo
A Ovariossalpingohisterectomia (OSH) corresponde a um tema relevante na rotina clínica e que quando não realizada de maneira eletiva, pode predispor em diversas doenças, ou até mesmo levar o animal ao óbito. Corroborando com essa afirmação, estão os dados deste estudo que, a partir da análise de 70 cadelas, mostrou que as doenças que mais acometem as fêmeas são os tumores (ovariano, uterino, mamário e venéreo transmissível) sendo os responsáveis por afetarem 59% das cadelas analisadas, ao passo que outros 38% delas foram acometidas pela Piometra, uma infecção uterina recorrente. Os dois quadros juntos representaram 97% das afecções do trato reprodutor de fêmeas e que poderiam ter sido evitadas mediante a castração preventiva. O objetivo deste trabalho é demonstrar a importância da OSH assim que a cadela atinja a maturidade sexual, visando reduzir a ocorrência de doenças reprodutivas que acometem geralmente fêmeas mais velhas não castradas. O método utilizado foi o de pesquisa observacional por amostragem de conveniência, ao qual foram observados 70 casos clínicos, em que mais da metade destes corresponderam a neoplasias diretamente relacionadas ao trato reprodutor feminino. O resultado mostrou que um dos principais motivos da OSH preventiva não ser realizada é a falta de conhecimento e de informação por parte dos tutores acerca de seus benefícios. Este achado corrobora para o elevado número de casos na rotina clínica de cadelas que são afetadas e submetidas a procedimentos cirúrgicos em caráter emergencial, ou que vêm a óbito após manifestarem alguma enfermidade relacionada ao aparelho reprodutor. Conclui-se, portanto, o caráter de urgência e de suma importância da conscientização em relação às vantagens da castração.
The Ovario Salpingo Hysterectomy (OSH) is a relevant theme in the clinic routine that when it isn't done in an elective way, it can end up in many diseases or even evolve to death. Corroborating with this affirmation, here are the cases of this study that with the analysis of 70 bitches, showed that the most common diseases that affect females are tumors (ovarian, uterine, mammary and transmissible venereal) being responsible by affecting 59% of the analyzed bitches while another 38% of them were affected by pyometra, a recurrent uterine infection. Together, the two pathologies represent 97% of the affections in the female reproductive tract and could have been prevented by preventive neutering meaning. The main goal of this Project is to raise awareness towards the population about the importance of the elective neutering, as soon as the female reaches her sexual maturity, in order to reduce disorders of the reproductive tract that usually affect older bitches non neutered. The method used was observational research by convenience sampling, in which 70 clinical cases were observed and more than a half of these corresponded to neoplasms directly related to the female reproductive tract. The results showed that one of the main reasons why elective OSH isn't done is due to the lack of knowledge and information concerning tutors towards the benefits of the OSH. This finding corroborates the high number of cases in the clinical routine of bitches affected and submitted to surgery procedures or the ones that die after coming up with a pathology related to the reproductive tract. It is concluded the matter of urgency and the importance of awareness towards the benefits of early neutering.
