Introduction: Worldwide, pandemics have been occurring for a long time, affecting different continents. Currently, a new pandemic has emerged, caused by the new coronavirus, which has been infecting humans since 1937. Being highly transmissible and pathogenic, it spread very quickly and became a public health emergency. Due to the fact that scientists were already working on vaccines for the coronavirus and international collaboration, the immunizer was developed more quickly, raising doubts in the population. Objective: To know the perception of UBS users about available vaccines against COVID-19, emphasizing data such as efficacy, safety and existing fears, analyzing their understanding. Method: This is a qualitative research, with a descriptive and exploratory approach, carried out in a Basic Health Unit in the city of Florianópolis. The collection period took place in March 2023, with 20 respondents, being over 18 years old and of both sexes. The collection was carried out through structured interviews, using a guiding script. Results: It was observed that the interviewees had different opinions on the subject, but most demonstrated confidence in the vaccine, performing their doses. Conclusion: Although the majority had received the vaccine, there were reports of non-vaccination or non-adherence to the vaccination schedule, so it is necessary that information continues to be disseminated, guaranteeing good vaccination coverage and avoiding other outbreaks.
