Resumo
Introdução: A fibromialgia é uma condição crônica que causa dor muscular generalizada e fadiga, afetando principalmente mulheres. O Pilates é uma forma de exercício que enfatiza a respiração controlada, a postura e o fortalecimento muscular. Objetivo: Sintetizar evidências sobre os efeitos terapêuticos do Método Pilates em mulheres com fibromialgia. Método: Este trabalho consiste em uma revisão integrativa, em que foram realizadas buscas nas bases de dados: PUBMED, BVS, Cochrane Library, PMC LABS sem restrição quanto ao idioma e ano. Resultados: Foram selecionados, nas bases de dados, um total de 4 (quatro) artigos, que compreenderam os critérios de inclusão para a realização do trabalho. Conclusão: Ao final, O método Pilates evidenciou nos estudos selecionados, eficácia no tratamento não farmacológico em mulheres com fibromialgia, como a redução de pontos dolorosos, melhora na qualidade de vida e fatores biopsicossociais.

Pilates is a form of exercise that emphasizes controlled breathing, posture and muscle strengthening. Objective: To synthesize evidence on the therapeutic effects of the Pilates Method in women with fibromyalgia. Method: This work consists of an integrative review, in which searches were carried out in the databases: PUBMED, BVS, Cochrane Library, PMC LABS without restriction regarding language and year. Results: A total of 4 (four) articles were selected from the databases, which comprised the inclusion criteria for carrying out the work.
