Introduction: A group of disorganized growth cells that enter tissues and organs is called cancer. Breast cancer is the most common type of disease among women in the world and in Brazil it is the second leading cause of death. Objective: To identify and analyze the effects of physiotherapeutic resources on post-mastectomy complications in patients who underwent breast cancer treatment. Methods: This is a bibliographic review, published between 2018 and 2023, in English and Portuguese. These are available completely free of charge. Results: 8 articles were selected that describe the most common physiotherapeutic modalities after mastectomy surgery and their benefits. Conclusion: It can be concluded that physiotherapeutic resources such as: manual lymphatic drainage (MLD), complex decongestive therapy (TDC), kinesiotherapy, laser therapy, cryotherapy, electrotherapy and active resistance exercises are effective in improving range of motion (ROM), reducing edema, increased flexibility of the chest wall, improved strength and prevention of lymphedema in women who underwent the post-mastectomy surgical process.
