dc.description.abstract	There is a consensus in the literature that repairing amalgam and composite resin restorations is a viable clinical alternative to replacement, where there is possible wear of a healthy tooth structure. Objective: collect information about the knowledge, indication and forms of execution employed by dentists from the private network of the municipality of Palhoça-SC to the repair of restorations. Material and Method: field research with a quantitative and exploratory approach, in which a questionnaire containing eleven multiple-choice questions was applied. The data obtained were transcribed to a Microsoft Excel® spreadsheet and submitted to descriptive statistical analysis using SPSS 20.0 software. Results: it has shwon that 100% of the interviewees knew and had the necessary understanding to assess and indicate the repair to the restorations in their daily routine. Regarding the technique performed on composite resin and amalgam restorations, only 48.6% understand that the repair can be carried out on these two types of materials, and 51.4% of the interviewees stated that they only knew about the possibility of repairing the composite resin. Conclusion: it can be concluded that dentists from the private network of the municipality of Palhoça have good knowledge to assess whether the restorations are satisfactory and, therefore, indicate and perform the repair when relevant.	en
dc.description.abstract	É consenso na literatura que o reparo nas restaurações de amálgama e resina composta constituem uma alternativa clínica viável à substituição, onde existe um possível desgaste de estrutura dentaria sadia. Objetivo: coletar informações a respeito do conhecimento, indicação e formas de execução empregados pelos cirurgiões-dentistas da rede privada do município de Palhoça-SC para o reparo das restaurações. Material e Método: pesquisa de campo com abordagem quantitativa e exploratória, no qual foi aplicado um questionário contendo onze questões de múltipla escolha. Os dados obtidos foram transcritos para uma planilha do Microsoft Excel® e submetidos à análise estatística descritiva no software SPSS 20.0. Resultados: foi demonstrado que 100% dos entrevistados conheciam e tinham o entendimento necessário para avaliar e indicar o reparo às restaurações em seu dia a dia clínico. Com relação à técnica executada nas restaurações de resina composta e amalgama, apenas 48,6% entendem que o reparo pode ser realizado nesses dois tipos de materiais, sendo que 51,4% dos entrevistados afirmaram que só sabiam da possibilidade de reparar a resina composta. Conclusão: pode-se concluir que os dentistas da rede privada do município de Palhoça possuem bom conhecimento para avaliar se as restaurações estão satisfatórias e, com isso, indicar e executar o reparo quando pertinente.	pt_BR
