dc.description.abstract	This work starts from the need to recognize the cultural heritage of the most diverse groups that make up society, as an element of cultural reference of a collectivity, whether at the national level, whether those at state or regional level. In order to safeguard them, the need for them to be recognized at their local level is pointed out, as agglutinating and identifying elements. It seeks, then, to understand the Nossa Senhora de Fátima School as a cultural heritage in the perception of the residents of the central area of the municipality of Rio Fortuna. For this, a bibliographic survey of the historical trajectory and the socializing role of school institutions was made, as well as the category of cultural heritage and its multivocation was discussed. Through a case study, with the application of quantitative forms, the relationship between them and the institution was diagnosed with the residents of that area. Qualitative interviews recorded the memories of the community, attesting to the possibility of understanding it as a carrier of the collective memory of the central population of the municipality. The symbolic production of the residents towards it, therefore, makes the Nossa Senhora de Fátima School a cultural heritage. The recognition of this space as a place of memories of the community, would assist in the process of preservation and valorization of this cultural asset.	en
dc.description.abstract	Este trabalho parte da necessidade de reconhecer o patrimônio cultural dos mais diversos grupos que formam a sociedade, como um elemento de referência cultural de uma coletividade, seja no âmbito nacional, seja naqueles estadual ou regional. Para salvaguardá-los, aponta-se a necessidade de que sejam reconhecidos em seu âmbito local, como elementos aglutinadores e de identificação. Busca-se, então, entender a Escola Nossa Senhora de Fátima como um patrimônio cultural na perceptiva dos moradores da área central do município de Rio Fortuna. Para isto, fez-se um levantamento bibliográfico da trajetória histórica e do papel socializador das instituições escolares, bem como se discutiu a categoria patrimônio cultural e sua multivocalização. Por meio de um estudo de caso, com aplicação de formulários de caráter quantitativo, diagnosticou-se junto aos moradores da referida área a relação existente entre os mesmos e a dita instituição. Entrevistas qualitativas registraram as memórias da comunidade, atestando a possibilidade de entendê-la como portadora da memória coletiva da população central do munícipio. A produção simbólica dos moradores para com ela, torna, portanto, a Escola Nossa Senhora de Fátima um patrimônio cultural. O reconhecimento deste espaço como um lugar de memórias da comunidade, auxiliaria no processo de preservação e valorização deste bem cultural.	pt_BR
