This course conclusion work addresses the significant expansion of electronic commerce (e-commerce) during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic and seeks to understand whether this growth continues today. The research was based on data analysis, literature review and interviews with sector experts. Initially, the global context of the pandemic and its repercussions on commercial activities were examined, highlighting the rapid adaptation of companies to the digital environment in response to movement restrictions and the closure of physical establishments. The work also investigated the main drivers of this expansion of e commerce, highlighting factors such as changes in consumer behavior, increased confidence in online transactions and the need for logistical innovations to meet growing demand. Data analysis revealed substantial growth in online transactions during the critical period of the pandemic. However, to understand whether this expansion has continued today, post-pandemic factors were considered, such as the stabilization of the health situation, the resumption of in-person activities and the evolution of consumer preferences.
