dc.description.abstract	Este trabalho tem como objetivo investigar se há estigma social em torno das pessoas que vivenciaram a situação de rua em Porto Alegre e foram acolhidas em projeto de serviço social criado pela Prefeitura de Porto Alegre, executado através de uma rede de pousadas da cidade, sob a gestão da Fundação de Assistência Social e Cidadania (FASC). A partir de uma revisão da literatura utilizando como referencial teórico Erving Goffman, foram identificados e analisados os principais estudos relacionados ao tema, buscando compreender os aspectos e situações que podem estigmatizar uma pessoa em situação de vulnerabilidade social. O campo empírico do estudo foi formado a partir dos dados e informações coletadas em entrevistas semiestruturadas e com a técnica de grupo focal, o que envolveu, ao todo, 25 pessoas abrigadas pelo projeto municipal e que viveram em situação de rua em Porto Alegre. Encontramos que, entre os participantes, há a noção de que as pessoas em situação de rua são alvo de preconceitos e de discriminações, o que caracterizaria estigma, porém, de forma individual, muitos não se percebem estigmatizados. Esses resultados podem auxiliar para uma melhor compreensão da realidade de viver nas ruas de grandes cidades como Porto Alegre, oferecendo subsídios para a tomada de decisões pelos gestores públicos e estimulando a constituição de uma agenda de futuras pesquisas sobre o tema.	pt
dc.description.abstract	This work aims to investigate whether there is social stigma surrounding people who experienced homelessness in Porto Alegre and were welcomed into a social service project created by Porto Alegre City Hall, implemented through a network of inns in the city, under the management of the Social Assistance and Citizenship Foundation (FASC). From a literature review using Erving Goffman as a theoretical framework, the main studies related to the topic were identified and analyzed, seeking to understand the aspects and situations that can stigmatize a person in a situation of social vulnerability. The empirical field of the study was formed from data and information collected in semi-structured interviews and with the focus group technique, which involved, in total, 25 people sheltered by the municipal project and who lived on the streets in Porto Alegre. We found that, among the participants, there is the notion that homeless people are targets of prejudice and discrimination, which would characterize stigma, however, on an individual basis, many do not perceive themselves as stigmatized. These results can help to better understand the reality of living on the streets of large cities like Porto Alegre, offering support for decision-making by public managers and encouraging the creation of an agenda for future research on the topic.	en
