adolescentes.
O estudo destaca a barreira do silêncio em torno do abuso sexual,
danos.
sexual infantil e o TEPT.
estratégias preventivas e terapêuticas, promovendo a conscientização e a mitigação
desse grave problema social.
This research focuses on the analysis of the relationship between child sexual abuse and the development of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Initially motivated by the search for socially relevant topics, the research highlights the severity of child sexual abuse as a public health issue in Brazil, impacting the quality of life and development of children and adolescents. The study highlights the barrier of silence surrounding sexual abuse, showing the lack of support and psychological assistance, as well as the challenges of dealing with the consequences, such as PTSD. Alarming data from the Ministry of Health reveal an increase in reports of sexual violence against children and adolescents, emphasizing the urgent need to understand and address this issue. The research aims to contribute scientifically to raise awareness of the consequences of child sexual abuse, proposing preventive measures and harm reduction strategies. PTSD is identified as one of the main sequelae of sexual abuse, with studies indicating a strong association. The text emphasizes the complexity of trauma as a public health issue, affecting not only individuals but also communities and families. The research aims to conduct a comprehensive literature review, analyzing definitions, prevalence, risk factors, psychological consequences, and the relationship between child sexual abuse and PTSD. The methodology includes bibliographic research, with careful selection of sources from reliable academic databases. Data collection and analysis procedures aim to ensure the relevance and reliability of information, contributing to a deeper understanding of this sensitive topic. Specific objectives include analyzing definitions and prevalence of child sexual abuse, investigating associated risk factors, exploring psychological consequences, and evaluating the relationship between child sexual abuse and PTSD. The study seeks to provide valuable insights for the implementation of preventive and therapeutic strategies, promoting awareness and mitigation of this serious social issue.
