Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (PubMed) e na Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro). Resultado: Foram encontrados
Conclusão: A
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurological condition that impairs communication and social interaction, along with exhibiting stereotyped or restricted behaviors. Objective: This research aims to gather scientific information proving the effectiveness of physiotherapy in aiding the motor development of children diagnosed with ASD, particularly in the field of pediatric neurology. Methodology: It is a literature review conducted between March and May of the year 2024, using the following databases: The Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (PubMed), and the Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro). Result: 364 articles were found, of which 46 were selected based on thematic agreement and 33 based on compatible abstracts. After the pre-selection, 32 were excluded due to lack of thematic relevance and 29 for not meeting eligibility criteria. Following a full reading, 16 articles were discarded due to lack of compatible objectives, resulting in the inclusion of 9 articles in the review.Discussion: Given the outcomes, it is evident that physiotherapeutic treatment benefits autistic children, improving their motor skills and promoting more effective social interaction and communication. Conclusion: Physiotherapy is crucial in the treatment of children with autism, intervening early to enhance their physical and social development, with the support of family and a multidisciplinary approach.
