qualquer outro setor industrial.
presentes no desenvolvimento, certificação e implementação desses motores, assim
Aviation is one of the fastest-growing transportation industries and a major contributor to global warming through the emissions of greenhouse gases. Consequently, the modernization and reduction of emissions are essencial, as in any other industrial sector. In this context, aircraft equipped with electric and hybrid-electric engines emerge as a promissing and innovative option, especially in regional aviation. They have the potencial to reduce CO2 emissions and significantly lower the costs associated with air operations. With this in mind, the objective of this work is to outline the challenges in the development, certification and implementation of these engines, as well as to present the expected results in aviation. While these projects are still in development and certification phases, some companies aim to be pioneers in operation and actively participate in the development process. An example is the partnership between Azul Conecta, a brazilian airline, and the american manufacturer Ampaire, in the development of a hybrid-electric engine for the Grand Caravan aircraft fleet. In the long term, such partnerships can shape the future of global aviation, emphasizing sustainability and economic eficiency.
