dc.description.abstract	The present Conclusion Paper is based on a bibliographic study about violence against the elderly in the family. Family violence against the elderly leads to grave consequences, corrupting his dignity and life. Therefore, this study has as main objective to reflect on the situation of the elderly victims of family violence against the Statute of the Elderly and other legislations. The specific objectives were: to understand how the elderly are treated by family members in a domestic environment; identify forms of violence against the elderly; to know the laws that protect the elderly about violence and to present their fundamental rights regarding the Elderly Statute and other legislation. The study is characterized as a bibliographical research, which included the reading, analysis and interpretation of books, texts, articles, laws and other materials online. It was concluded that family violence against the elderly is a reality in our society, and that many are the laws that protect it, but they are not always effective, since in the great majority violence against the elderly is not denounced or is neglected.	en
dc.description.abstract	O presente Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso baseia-se em um estudo bibliográfico acerca da violência contra o idoso no âmbito familiar. A violência familiar contra o idoso leva à consequências gravíssimas, corrompendo a dignidade e a vida dele. Diante disso, este estudo tem como objetivo principal refletir acerca da situação dos idosos vítimas de violência familiar frente ao Estatuto do Idoso e outras legislações. Os objetivos específicos basearam-se em: entender como os idosos são tratados pelos familiares em ambiente doméstico; identificar as formas de violência cometidas contra a pessoa idosa; conhecer as leis que protegem o idoso quanto à violência e apresentar seus direitos fundamentais frente ao Estatuto do Idoso e outras legislações. O estudo caracteriza-se como pesquisa bibliográfica, a qual abrangeu a leitura, análise e interpretação de livros, textos, artigos, leis e outros materiais on-line. Concluiu-se que a violência familiar contra o idoso é uma realidade em nossa sociedade, e que muitas são as leis que o protegem, porém, nem sempre elas são efetivas, pois, na grande maioria a violência contra o idoso não é denunciada ou é negligenciada.	pt_BR
