This dissertation aims to understand the factors that link the growing number of homeless people in the city of São Paulo and the right to housing, a topic addressed in current public policies, which do not actually solve the problem, as in addition to offering housing programs , there are social and psychological issues involved. Living beyond the house itself, with dignified rehabilitation and a support network that does not just consider the act of living. São Paulo is the capital with the highest number of homeless people in the country, and it is important to propose solutions in the field of architecture that reduce these rates, with adequate and correctly designed housing. The methodology used to meet the proposed objectives came through bibliographical and documentary research of the Housing First method, which unfolds into the idea of offering housing first, without any prerequisites, but with a support network for the individual covered, always respecting their individuality and process. Producing sufficient content for the implementation of collective housing in the Barra Funda neighborhood, with purpose in the chosen area and that delivers functionality, structure, comfort and aesthetics.
