A intenção desse
The research addresses the relevance of digital dentistry in clinical practice, its advantages and disadvantages in diagnoses and treatments. Addressing the main technologies used and their applications, the challenges of incorporation in dental education and highlights the need for professionals to continuously adapt to technological innovations. The objective of the present study was, through an integrative literature review, to analyze the role of technologies in the context of dental education, evaluating how virtual reality technology and interactive simulations can be applied in dental education, with the objective of verifying their effectiveness in training. Of students before they see real patients. The intention is to improve the training of students and adequately prepare them for patient care.29 articles from the main databases were included, from 2015 to 2023, reading by title, by abstract, and finally, the complete reading of the articles. The present work concludes that digitization has had a significant impact on education, covering aspects such as e-learning, knowledge transfer via the web, imaging, digital mapping of surfaces and training in motor skills through simulators. However, the study also recognizes limitations, such as the need for evidence-based research on the inclusion and acceptance of digital education in dentistry.
