Resumo
Introdução: A paralisia cerebral (PC) pode ser definida como um grupo de desordens do desenvolvimento do movimento e da postura, causando limitações nas atividades básicas do indivíduo, sendo muito importante que, desde logo que constatada a PC se inicie a fisioterapia no tratamento destes pacientes. A utilização da Gameterapia como tratamento é uma alternativa que possibilita uma melhor qualidade de vida. Objetivo: Analisar os benefícios da utilização de gameterapia e realidade virtual na melhora do equilíbrio e cognição em crianças com PC.
Metodologia: Revisão integrativa cuja fundamentação teórica foi embasada na pesquisa de artigos publicados a partir de 2010 em idioma português e inglês nas bases de dados PubMed, LILACS e Scielo. Resultados: Segundo os dados obtidos, observou-se ganhos proprioceptivos e funcionais através da utilização dos vídeos.games Playstation 2, xbox 360 e Nintendo wii.
Considerações Finais: A Gameterapia mostrou-se promissora. Vale ressaltar a importância de utilizá-la como suporte à fisioterapia convencional, ficando evidente a importância de novos e mais estudos sobre o tema.
Introduction: Cerebral palsy (CP) can be defined as a group of disorders in the development of movement and posture, causing restriction in the individual's basic activities. The use of Game Therapy as a treatment is an alternative that enables a better quality of life. Objective: To analyze the benefits of using game therapy and virtual reality in improving balance and cognition in children with CP. Methodology: Integrative review whose theoretical foundation was based on the research of articles published from 2010 in Portuguese and English in the databases PubMed, LILACS e Scielo. Results: According to the data obtained, proprioceptive and mental gains were observed through the use of video games Playstation 2, xbox 360 and Nintendo wii. Final Considerations: Gametherapy has shown to be promising. It is worth emphasizing the importance of using it as a support to conventional physiotherapy, making it evident the importance of new and more studies on the subject.
