Resumo
Introdução: A doença de Alzheimer é uma doença neurodegenerativa que afeta o sistema nervoso e cognitivo principalmente do público acima de 60 anos. Objetivo: Investigar o impacto do exercício físico neste público e os consequentes benefícios. Metodologia: A pesquisa é do tipo revisão de literatura realizada através de pesquisa de artigos publicados nos últimos 5 anos (2018 a 2023). Resultados: Após análise dos artigos foi constatado que o impacto nos idosos que praticam exercícios aeróbicos a longo prazo foi maior do que aqueles que realizaram apenas exercícios resistidos. Conclusão: Houve melhorias na qualidade de vida do público idoso que realizou exercícios físicos, mas sem resultados significativamente superiores aos grupos de controle.
