dc.description.abstract	The aim of this study was to evaluate the presence of filling material in the root canals wall after preparation for fiberglass post with the White Post (WP) DC 0.5 drill and the Largo drill in teeth obturated with AH Plus (AHP) sealer. The study had an experimental and qualitative character. Thirty mandibular premolars teeth after endodontic instrumentation were filled with gutta-percha cone and AHP endodontic sealer, and the gutta-percha was thermoplasticized. Two groups (n = 15) were separated: Group 1 - preparations with the WP DC 0.5 drill from FGM; Group 2 -preparations with # 1, # 2 and # 3 Largo drills. After preparation, the specimens were sectioned longitudinally for microscopic analysis of the cervical and middle thirds, and the data were collected in two classifications: first per type of filling material presence, and second to percentage of filling material in the canal walls. No differences were found in the association between the groups in both thirds (p = 1.00) in relation per type of filling material presence, as well as in relation to percentage of remaining material in the cervical third (p = 1.00) and in the middle third (p = 0.505). AHP and gutta-percha were more prevalent in relation per type of material. The percentage of remains most found was less than 50%. In conclusion, even if the material was not completely removed, the use of the WP drill or Largo drill to prepare for fiberglass post does not affect type and percentage of remaining filling material.	en
dc.description.abstract	O objetivo do presente estudo foi avaliar a presença de material obturador na parede do canal radicular após o preparo para pino de fibra de vidro (PFV) com a broca White Post (WP) DC 0.5 e a broca Largo em dentes obturados com o cimento AH Plus (AHP). O estudo teve caráter experimental e qualitativo. Trinta dentes pré-molares inferiores foram preparados endodonticamente, obturados com cone de guta-percha e o cimento endodôntico AHP, e sendo a guta-percha termoplastificada. Dois grupos (n=15) foram separados: Grupo 1 - preparos com a broca WP DC 0.5; Grupo 2 -preparos com as brocas Largo #1, #2 e #3. Após o preparo, os espécimes foram clivados longitudinalmente para a análise microscópica dos terços cervical e médio, e os dados foram coletados em duas classificações: a primeira sendo pelo tipo de material obturador presente, e a segunda pelo percentual de material obturador nas paredes do canal radicular. Não foram encontradas diferenças na associação entre os grupos em ambos os terços (p=1,00) em relação tipo de material obturador presente, bem como em relação ao percentual de material remanescente no terço cervical (p=1,00) e no terço médio (p=0,505). O AHP e a Guta-percha foram mais prevalentes em relação ao tipo de material. O percentual de remanescente mais encontrado foi menor que 50%. Em conclusão, mesmo não removendo por completo o material, o uso da broca WP ou da broca Largo para o preparo para PFV não afeta no tipo e no percentual de material obturador remanescente.	pt_BR
