This study reports on the management of Gestalt therapy and the possibilities of this practice within Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The main objective is to investigate the possible contributions of Gestalt therapy in understanding ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) in children. Gestalt therapy is a psychotherapeutic approach founded by Fritz and Laura Perfs in the 1940s, which uses the conscious as a working mechanism to search for emotion. Gestalt therapy considers autism to be a disturbance of the id function of the self. Based on this, research was carried out in books, articles and with professionals who proved the effectiveness of Gestalt therapy in dealing with autistic children, thus making it clear how GT understands ASD and has effective care strategies, working on the development of these children in a more playful way so that the process is softer.
