Introduction: Endodontic treatment aims to seal the canal in all its volume and extension to promote periapical tissue repair and avoid reinfections. New filling cements have been used in endodontics. Bioceramic cements promise better results in terms of physicochemical properties, due to their biocompatibility with adjacent tissues, capable of assisting in the remineralization of periapical lesions. Objective: This study aimed to analyze different physicochemical properties of bioceramic filling cements through an integrative review. Methods: The research was carried out in the PubMed and Lilacs databases to analyze flow properties, dimensional stability, solubility, working time, setting time and radiopacity, all in accordance with the standards recommended by ISO 6876/2012 and ANSI /ADA nº 57. Results: It can be observed that bioceramic cements, when compared to other filling materials, have a more alkaline pH, greater solubility, even exceeding the standard norms, but not interfering in the results of flow and dimensional stability, which in turn present greater flow and are more stable. Conclusion: Among all evaluated properties, bioceramic cements proved to be effective for use in clinical practice.
