Relatório de Estágio Acesso aberto Avaliação do sistema de tratamento de água de uma empresa de processamento de pet(2018) Acco, Giovana LaraWoring about environmental issues is very important, because it is not only following the legislation but taking responsibility for the planet, preserving it now and in the future. The recycling sector generates an effluent that needs to be treated both to follow effluent release conditions and standards, as for reuse in the process itself. With this, the objective of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of a water treatment station in a recycling company. Initially, a first collect of the treated effluent was made, which, some analyzes were carried out, verifying if it was satisfactory for reuse. Then a new collect was performed, comparing the physico-chemical parameters of the raw and treated effluent, to calculate the efficiency of the treatment. In this second stage, the analysis of oils and greases was performed, as it was noticed that the lots of bottles to recycle were different from each other, some contained more bottles of olive oil or with contaminating materials than others, resulting in a greasy supernatant and consequently water with a more cloudy appearance. To calculate efficiency, DBO5, DQO, detergents and oils and greases were analyzed, resulting in a percentage of removal of 95.61% of DBO5, 53.32% of DQO, 87.59% of detergents and 84.91% of oils and greases, resulting in an efficient treatment system. To conclude, improvements were suggested, proposing a laboratory organization, whose objective is to carry out analyzes, in the company itself, so that it can control the quality of the treated effluent.Plano de Negócio Acesso aberto Projeto de viabilidade econômica de produção de etanol de segunda geração utilizando biomassa lignocelulósica proveniente de indústrias de beneficiamento de arroz(2017) Carvalho, Patrícia de; Acco, Giovana Lara; Martins, Jefferson; Vieira, José Luiz; Limas, Karine; Albino, Rafaela BrognaraWith increasing demand for alternatives to trade petroleum-based products, demand for new renewable sources has grown, for example, bioethanol. This product has been produced already in Brazil for some time, from sugarcane, which has raised the Brazilian indices of production of first generation alcohol. However, an alternative is second-generation ethanol, produced from cereal crops bagasses's, such as rice husks. Nowadays, the main purpose of the rice husk is generates energy by burning it, however can also be used to produce second generation alcohol, since it has a considerable amount of cellulose, which makes it perfect to the process of biofuel production. Thus, it is presented the proposal for an installation of a biorefinery in the state of Santa Catarina, using lignocelluloses biomass coming from the rice processing industries. The present Course's Completion Project presented to the Course of Chemical Engineering of the University of the South of Santa Catarina, was divided in specific areas for a better understanding. It begins with strategic planning and marketing, which is a methodology capable of establishing the direction that must be taken by the company, with the objective of integrating it into its operational environment. Followed by quality management, which is a managing focused on the quality of production and services of the company; Basic Engineering, which understands and designs all the necessary requirements for the company's implementation, focusing on the production process; Environmental Engineering, which aims to plan an adequate management, either by solving environmental issues or preventing possible negative consequences related to production processes; The safety engineering, which goes to anticipate the risks of accidents and therefore trying to minimize them. Finally, the economic planning, that identifies the expected benefits of an investment to verify its implementation’s viability, analyzing the costs and benefits of the project.
