Estudo de Caso Acesso aberto Correção do fator de potência em sistema de climatização aplicado em self-contained: estudo de caso com foco na viabilidade financeira e econômica(2020) Andrade, Paulo RodrigoThe power factor can be defined as an efficiency parameter in the use of energy consumed. It basically demonstrates whether energy is being used efficiently in an electrical system. The National Electrical Energy Agency (ANEEL), the agency responsible for establishing the norms and regulations for electrical energy services in Brazil, determines that the minimum value of the power factor allowed for group A consumer units is 0.92. Therefore, consumers who are below this established minimum must correct the power factor of their system under penalty of incurring the payment of a fine charged by the energy concessionaires. This course concludes with a case study aimed at analyzing the anomalies in the electrical system that cause the low power factor at the Camelódromo Floripa Center, a business located in downtown Florianópolis/SC, in order to define the best approach for correcting the low power factor of the business mentioned here. For the correction of the power factor, data from consumer invoices, the electrical quantities involved, the electrical project of the structure were collected and analyzed, as well as measurements made on site with the help of an electrical energy analyzer equipment. For this, the method of localized correction was proposed with a semi-automatic bank, also known as direct correction for the power factor correction. The method presented will generate benefits both from the point of view of the improvement in the quality of electrical energy and in the financial and economic issue of commerce, so the consumer will no longer pay fines for the excess of reactivity in their energy bill and ensure the durability of the entire electrical system and equipment installed in it, avoiding the wear and tear of the devices and the prolongation of the useful life.
