Artigo Científico Arqueologia de gênero: uma reflexão a respeito do papel social da mulher indígena até o período pré-colonial(2020) Bittencort, Beatriz RamosFaced with a historiography that, transformed the prehistory a period maintained and organized by men as active agents and wherein said characteristics and activities 'male' would be crucial for the development of early human societies, this work seeks to reflect, clarify and inform about the importance of women's social role in prehistory. In order to demystify a false hierarchy of genders that for a long time was believed to exist, but which in fact was only a reflection of the molds of European gender relations that overlapped other cultures, such as indigenous, in the pre-colonial period and which was also reaffirmed in the emergence of archaeological studies. Giving examples of the contributions and relevance of women's participation within the context of maintaining prehistoric and pre-colonial indigenous societies.Artigo Científico Acesso embargado O desenvolvimento do sistema educacional no município de rio fortuna: a Igreja Católica como um pilar na construção da Escola de Educação Básica Nossa Senhora de Fátima(2020) Philippi, Murilo LaurethThis paper presents a brief history of the German colonization in Rio Fortuna, seeking to analyze the way the implementation and development of education occurred in the new territory. Therefore, this paper aims to show how the Catholic religion played a fundamental role in the construction of the Our Lady of Fatima Elementary School. The German immigration to Brazil began after the political and social changes that took place in Germany, with the Napoleonic reforms. The population growth, the Industrial Revolution, the land-lost peasants and the economic crisis were the main factors for the German emigration. As a result of the reality faced by the Germans in their country, there was no other option but to emigrate. Due to the above factors, we seek to address the way the educational development happened in Rio Fortuna, understanding the context that the German colonization brought to the town, seeking to understand how the Catholic Church played a fundamental role in the implementation of the educational system and in the construction of the Our Lady of Fatima Elementary School. German colonizers have always known the importance of education in the individual’s development, as they highly valued education. As soon as they arrived in the new land, they tried to build their own schools. They were built through the joint effort of the entire community and, when necessary, they even paid to have a teacher. With the population growth in the town center, around the church, a small school was built, in which the classes were taught by members of the clergy, starting with a seminarian who was followed by two nuns. The nuns’ work was extremely important for the development of education in our town. In 1952 the construction of the new school was started, being Father Ludgero Waterkemper its founder. Artigo Científico Acesso embargado Influência do turismo no desenvolvimento e ocupação do bairro Ferrugem, município de Garopaba-SC(2020) Perão, Isaias AlbanoThis article discusses the influence of tourism in the occupation and development of the Ferrugem neighborhood, in the municipality of Garopaba - SC. The objectives of the article are to diagnose, with the residents, the positive and negative points that tourism had in the occupation and development in the neighborhood and to contextualize it. The main methodology used was oral history, since the neighborhood is scarce of documents that tell its history, and through oral history it was possible to discuss events that were important for the formation of the neighborhood, raising positive and negative points that the construction of the main road, in 1964, brought to the place. We seek, through works related to sustainable planning, to identify problems caused by the lack of efficient planning, discussing its impact in a given region. Some satellite images, in 1978, were compared with other images from 2020. Therefore, the great potential that the area had to receive a flow of tourists from effective planning was discussed, avoiding major damage to the neighborhood. Also discussed are the results that the lack of effective planning has brought to the region, as well as planning ideas related to local tourism, in order to solve problems that are real in the region, such as the allotment of areas that could be used by the population. , however, they were restricted by condominiums, as well as the impact caused by the large flow of tourists in high season, resulting in road congestion, noise and environmental pollution. We propose, then, a relationship between the community and the local authorities, so that they work together in a sustainable and rigorous planning, in order to mitigate the impacts brought by the great number of people.Artigo Científico Acesso aberto Mudanças climáticas e a história das civilizações: uma análise bibliométrica(2020) Stipp, Tiago FlorianoHistorical periods of social unrest, population decline and the collapse of civilizations often occur simultaneously and as a result of significant climate change. Despite this, discussions about climate are traditionally associated with the natural sciences, and in many cases, are neglected in the study of history. Thus, it is questioned as to the role of history in understanding how changes in climate affect human societies. In this study, we seek to report historical events of humanity related to climatic variations and to identify regional gaps in knowledge in this regard, in order to highlight their need and importance for the protection of peoples and cultures. To this end, a bibliographic survey was carried out, with a subsequent bibliometric review, of the publications from 2010 to 2020 that dealt with the theme “effects of climate change on the history of human societies”. The results suggest that Asia, North America and Europe concentrate the majority of studies on the subject. There are gaps in knowledge about climate-society interaction in Oceania, South America and Africa, precisely places that shelter some of the populations most vulnerable to social and environmental problems. It was also noticed that, among the historical events related to climatic variations, most of them were caused, at least in part, by great droughts due to changes in the climate of the past. Examples are: the fall of the Akkadian Empire, the Indus Valley Civilization, the Ancient Egyptian Empire, the Mayan Civilization and even aggravating conflicts in Syria. Finally, we emphasize that the study of history must bring about climate change on a human scale, seeking to understand and communicate scientific knowledge to the public, in addition to bringing past experience, acquired and accumulated knowledge and launching it into the modern debate in the search for protect the future of our own society.Monografia Acesso aberto O papel dos diversos segmentos sociais no genocídio dos povos indígenas Laklãnõ/Xokleng na Colônia Grão-Pará, entre os séculos XIX e XX(2020) Szlachta, Tatiane SoetheThe present work starts from the need for a history that recognizes the participation of several subjects, giving space to those who for a long time were marginalized or simply excluded from the official history. In this sense, we propose to evaluate the role of the various social segments in the genocide of the Laklãnõ / Xokleng indigenous peoples in the Grão-Pará colony, between the 19th and 20th centuries, by describing the context of pre-colonial occupation on the southern slope of the Serra Geral de santa Catarina, discussion of the colonization process in Santa Catarina during the 19th and 20th centuries, examination of the reports of contacts and conflicts between settlers and Laklãnõ / Xokleng indigenous people in the territory of the Colony Grão-Pará and the analysis of the measures taken within the scope of the Colony Grão-Pará regarding the presence of indigenous people. Through a bibliographic and documentary research, the research pointed out that before European colonization, the territory of Colony Grão-Pará was inhabited by several indigenous peoples who related to the environment in a different way. Among them the hunter-gatherers, the South Jês ceramists and the Laklãnõ / Xokleng. In the 19th century, colonization in Santa Catarina progressed through the establishment of European Colonies. The contacts and conflicts between the Laklãnõ / Xokleng and the colonizers then intensify. In this context, bugreiros appear, colonists specialized in hunting and killing indigenous people, with the support of the Government, Colonizing Company, police and settlers. The extermination was then legitimized, leaving the indigenous people with no chance of survival. As a result, before the middle of the twentieth century the Laklãnõ / Xokleng who lived in the Colony Grão-Pará were exterminated.
