It is manifested by redness, dilation of blood capillaries (telangiectasias), papules, pustules and nodules. Intense pulsed light is one of the most suitable treatments for the treatment of this condition. Objective: Correlate the use of Intense Pulsed Light in the treatment and control of rosacea. Method: A survey was conducted in the PUBMED, LILACS and SciELO databases from 2002 to 2019, using the descriptors: “Pulsed Light”; “Pele” and “Rosácea.”, Observing publications in Portuguese and English. We found 16 articles and selected 11 articles that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria, whose organized data could be analyzed. Results: The use of IPL is effective in reducing rosacea. Its use is based on the principle of selective photothermolysis, which exploits the peak hemoglobin absorption between its 400nm - 600nm wavelength range. Conclusion: The use of intense pulsed light is one of the most indicated therapies in the treatment and control of breathing.
