Artigo Científico Acesso embargado Auto estima e bem estar pós tratamentos de rejuvenescimento facial(2018) Pereira, Amanda Fernandes; Bitencourt, BeatrizAesthetic treatments are not just for embellishment and vanity, as they also provide increased self-esteem and well-being, through their techniques like, facial rejuvenation treatments. The general objective of this study was to evaluate the level of satisfaction of self-esteem and well-being in women who have performed aesthetic procedures of facial rejuvenation at aesthetic clinics in the city of Tubarão/SC. It is a cross-sectional study, of a quantitative nature through the application of a questionnaire. The variables studied were: socio - demographic variables and characteristics such as age, gender, marital status, educational level, ethnicity and the investigation of the level of aesthetic satisfaction in the self - esteem and well being that was evaluated through the answers of the applied questionnaire. Questionnaires were applied to 40 women aged 30 to 60 years in 4 aesthetic clinics. Regarding the results obtained with the study, it was possible to observe that the mean age was 45.77 years and that of the 40 volunteers all stated that after performing the aesthetic procedures for rejuvenation they feel safer and more confident. The most used procedures were: cosmetics, where all 40 volunteers made use, the peels were used by 25 of the volunteers and the 32 radiofrequency volunteers performed. And regarding the frequency of the treatment was seen that the minimum was once every three months, the maximum 8 times in a month. It was concluded that of the 40 volunteers, all reported a relationship between the treatments performed with their self-esteem and well-being, which proves that the aesthetic treatments do not only change physical appearance, but also the positive form that each one sees after performing.
