Artigo Científico Acesso aberto Gerenciamento de resíduos sólidos na construção civil(2017) Movilla, Mariana LentiIn Brazil, architecture professionals do not give due importance to the technical area that is also part of the profession. Most architects think that it is not their competence to know the constructive techniques and leave this stage of the process under the responsibility of the engineers. Due to this, there is a great chasm between the professionals who elaborate the project and those who execute the project, which often generates misunderstandings and problems that arise only when the work is being executed. Architecture professionals must understand the importance of planning and managing works and how much this can contribute to the Civil Construction and, consequently, to the environment we live in. In this way, much of the high rates of waste of materials and waste generation that are being observed in the construction sector in Brazil would be avoided. The present work consists of a study developed on the process of management of waste generated in construction sites, considering the benefits that this activity can offer to companies, governments and institutions, when carried out in a serious and effective way. In order to comply with the objectives, the scientific methodology was adopted with bibliographic research techniques to make a survey of the current situation of solid waste management in Brazil.Artigo Científico Acesso aberto A logística envolvida no ciclo do revestimento asfáltico(2017) Santos, Nathan Garcia dosIn a country where the most used link's main thoroughfares are highways, is expected to mesh well developed and tracks in good condition. However, it is not what happens in Brazil. This article was exposed to logistics involved in the cycle of the asphalt coating, the points that require greater attention and the problems that may occur. We analyzed the processes that the asphalt coating passes from production until the compression. In Brazil the most mass used is the machined hot bituminous concrete, used to develop this research. With the characteristics of each step discussed, will be shown the logistics necessary to ensure that the process runs without errors. At the end, the main process of this chain is the application. Phase that will dictate whether the road built or does not meet the conditions of quality, comfort, durability and safety. Artigo Científico Acesso aberto Plataforma BIM: na gestão de projetos(2017) Cunha, Ana PaulaIt is evident the importance of civil construction in the economic and social sector, but in its production process, it generates a large amount of solid waste, uses a lot of material extracted directly from nature, and besides, it wastes a lot of what it uses. Brazil still has deficiencies in the project elaboration phase, with more time being devoted to projection and less to execution itself. Many problems are still solved in loco, redoing services, in which the deficiency in the management procedures is notorious. With the evolution of technology, also present in this sector, measures can be taken to change this framework. The BIM platform, a database software in digital format, allows the entire construction process to be tested before execution, so it is possible to reduce the amount of material used, solid waste generated, and increase the speed and decrease the Cost of building. Thus, this article proposes to analyze the main aspects for a more efficient management process, exposing as a tool of assistance the BIM platform, reviewing the concepts of the presented themes and highlighting the benefits of the use of the tool.Artigo Científico Acesso aberto A utilização do resíduo sólido proveniente da construção civil: para a fabricação de tijolos ecológicos(2017) Machado, Luiz Eduardo AmanteCivil construction as a whole is an uninterrupted process, which requires a great energy demand and consumes a large amount of non-renewable resources. Even after the completion of the work, conventional buildings continue to contribute to the environmental impact, generating high rates of consumption of water, energy, pollutants, creation of microclimates, among other factors. Only the construction sector is responsible for generating 67% of the total mass of solid waste. From this, researchers began to study the recycling of these solid waste produced, developing the ecological brick made from these wastes.Artigo Científico Acesso aberto Certificação LEED: uma analogia entre Brasil e a cidade-bairro Pedra Branca(2017) Schurhaus, ThiagoThe construction industry is fundamental to the society development, however It is also the sector that most impacts the environment. Therefore, came up the certifications of sustainable constructions, embracing the social, environmental and economics spheres, among them is the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). This article proposes itself , by a descriptive and exploratory research, to concept the LEED certification and to analyze its panorama in nationwide, comparing it to the reality of a neighborhood, located in Palhoça/SC.Artigo Científico Acesso embargado A viabilidade econômica sustentável do bloco concreto com garrafa pet(2017) Rocha, Evelise Riveros daThe construction sector is responsible for a large part of the environmental impacts, which start from the extraction of the raw material to the generation of waste. In face of the problems caused, the construction industry has been seeking technological innovations that seek sustainability, which is linked to economic, environmental and social factors. This work presents the feasibility study for the incorporation of 15% recycled ground PET in substitution to the natural aggregates in the manufacture of concrete blocks. In general, it compares the fabrication of the conventional concrete block with the concrete block with PET. When analyzed economically the block with PET showed a cost much higher than the conventional one, but it presents significant environmental advantages for reduction of residues and the consumption of raw material.Artigo Científico Acesso aberto Viabilidade econômica - financeira de um empreendimento de habitações do Programa Minha Casa Minha Vida(2017) Bruggmann, CristianeThe construction industry is an important segment of the Brazilian economy and offers possibilities for gains even in the most difficult economic times. Being an important generator of jobs and housing development in the country. The government, seeking to reduce the housing deficit, began to provide resources to stimulate the Brazilian real estate market through the Minha Casa, Minha Vida Program, allowing low-income families access to acquire their housing. (CAIXA, 2017). In addition to the benefits for those who want to acquire a property, the program also stimulated the productive chain of the Construction Industry, generating jobs and income for thousands of workers and an increase for commerce, increasing the supply of real estate for sale. After the program's launch, the number of housing units financed practically doubled between 2008 and 2009, jumping from 596,087 to 1,047,037. Some builders and developers in the country turned their attention to the lowincome public, given the ease of obtaining financing and high demand (CAIXA ECONOMICA, 2013). In this way, it is necessary to carry out an economic-financial feasibility analysis to determine if this type of enterprise is considered feasible in the construction company's view. Through this study, we estimate the costs and potential return of this type of constructive enterprise.Artigo Científico Acesso aberto Principais desafios para a implantação de métodos sustentáveis na construção civil no Brasil e a importância do planejamento para a sua manutenção(2017) Bortoluzzi, Augusto CardosoThe term sustainability has been increasingly addressed in the middle of construction, due to the increasing concern of the impacts that each activity generates to the environment, such impacts can and should be avoided through a less severe work approach and less aggression to the environment involved by it. In order for this sustainable proposal to be effectively applied effectively, there must be a close relationship between purpose and planning, without which the practical approach to sustainable actions becomes more susceptible to failures and plays a contrary role than is expected. These failures occur in spite of all practical attempts to apply these sustainable methodologies in the construction market in Brazil, as they still face specific challenges, due to the economic, for their application; the cultural question of the usual constructive methods and the fear of applying the "new"; and the precariousness of the skilled labor force for its execution. Therefore, this article proposes, through bibliographical research, to approach studies and concepts of what is sustainable, to understand the reason for its need in civil construction, to discuss the main challenges for its application in Brazil, to list some strategies and methodologies of sustainability in construction and understand the importance of planning for the sustainable maintenance of construction processes.Artigo Científico Acesso embargado A gestão de resíduos sólidos da construção civil: como reforço de subleito para solo argiloso(2017) Dias Toledo, Humberto; Simoni, OdianeIn the present day, we still see the presence of residues in the environment as: tires, plastics, pet bottles thrown in wasteland, river banks, roadside, rubble works, among others. One of the major problems facing humanity today is how to properly allocate the waste produced. Among these residues stand out: the rubble of works. In this context, this article aims to present adequate disposal of construction waste in order to minimize the problem of inadequate disposal of rubble generated by the Civil Construction sector. It is proposed to use this residue as a raw material to reinforce paving structures, both for asphalt and rural roads. For, with the scarcity of quarries and sometimes no release of the environmental organs, these residues can generate a new material to be used in this sector, and can be characterized as a form of a returnable source. Artigo Científico Acesso aberto Conceito de gestão ambiental em obras de subestação de energia elétrica(2018) Ferreira, Diego da SilvaThe demand for electric energy in the country increases every year, causing the industry to rethink its forms of work management making it indispensable to identify the characteristics that allow the execution of environmentally correct projects. To do so, the sector undergoes changes and adaptations in the way it produces and manages its works. The sector also underwent a reform with the approval of laws that began to regulate and regulate the companies of the electric sector, and with that, new environmental requirements were added. The case study discusses the development of an architectural project, which challenges the predominant type of construction in the area where the project is intended to be deployed. It consists of a quantitative and budget survey project and simulation using a cash flow from real data and information according to market conditions in São José, considering the traditional concept of net present value, internal rate of return and payback period. The simulation is possible from an economic point of view, however, when evaluating the results, it is believed that need another study with the same type of project currently used, which lead to better results in the analysis of economic viability.Artigo Científico Acesso embargado Técnicas para uma cidade sustentável à água(2018) Gantuss, Vitor RabêloThe unbridled growth of the population, coupled with the process of industrialization and urbanization of society, the lack of urban planning and climate change has had unprecedented repercussions on the environment. One example is urban flooding, which affects several sectors such as housing, public health, transportation, sanitation, among others. Faced with this problem, in order to mitigate the effects of anthropic actions on water resources, approaches to sustainable rainwater management, such as the WSUD, are being taken. Considering that environmental sanitation services will be increasingly in demand, this article aims to: Disseminate the knowledge of the WSUD integrated water management system through the presentation of some of the techniques adopted by the system, as well as point out a study to observe the use of such techniques in practice. For this, a bibliographical review of several international and national articles on the WSUD was made. This approach aims to make cities potentially habitable, sustainable and productive in terms of water, thus enabling safe and affordable water delivery, improving the flood protection system, and ultimately providing resilient landscapes. For these reasons, it is essential to learn such lessons and bring this model of development to Brazilian cities.Artigo Científico Acesso aberto Resíduos de construção e demolição: uma abordagem do assunto e a situação do município de Florianópolis(2018) Fernandes, Graziella QuintThe civil construction is one of the activities more old developed the men, and the larger generator of solid waste of the world. In the context arise the need a eficient management of the construction and demolition waste. The CDW represent serious risk for the environment, and need to be manipulated and destined correctly for the avoid the pollution and risk for life. The CONAMA 307 Resolution, the main Brazilian regulation about the subject, guide the generators for reduce, reuse, recycle and destine correctly the construction and demolition waste. The large generators must to implant the management program in your constructions, and the public power must to elaborate the Integrated Plan for the Management of Construction Waste. Faced with this, the public power has a great responsibility regarding the rules for an efficient management of CDW, being of its obligation the elaboration of the Municipal Plan of Civil Construction Waste. This article proposes a bibliographical survey on the management of civil construction waste in Brazil, and the exposition of the present condition of the municipality of Florianópolis on this subject.Artigo Científico Acesso embargado Análise orçamentária sob o âmbito da disposição de verbas para a gestão de resíduos da construção de obras públicas de implantação e ampliação de edificações em Santa Catarina(2018) Pereira, Eliziane NeryThe state is a major demander of works in the civil construction sector, mainly due to lack of equipment and public infrastructure. These constructions consume expressive volumes of natural resources, which in most cases are not used in their entirety and thus generate waste. In this sense, the need arises to carry out the management of construction waste (MCC) in an effective way and aiming at the conservation of the environment, as well as the possibility of recycling and the sustainability of the construction process. In order to mitigate the problems caused by the waste, laws and regulations have been created to ensure the correct disposal of these wastes, but these services represent a significant cost in the construction process, when considering horizontal and vertical transportation costs within the building, storage at the construction site. works, transportation of the work to appropriate / legalized location and final deposition rates. Our objective was to analyze the bidding processes of public works in the state of Santa Catarina, through the identification of solid waste management aspects of construction. The research was carried out through the analysis of budget worksheets and descriptive memorandums of 25 (twenty five) bidding processes of buildings for the state of Santa Catarina. This total of processes represents approximately 40.0% of the bids for the period of 2016 to 2018, we identified that of the total analyzed only 32.0% consider approximately 1.5% of the total value of the work for the costs appropriate to the management services of solid waste. In the prospection of the applicability of the environmental legislation referring to the MCCs it is necessary that the public power reconsider the budget for the proper management of the waste in public works in the state.Artigo Científico Acesso aberto A importância da utilização de EPI e EPC em obras civis em vias públicas(2018) Pereira, Claudinei AducioInfrastructure engineering works foster the development of a country and increases the quality of life of the population. Also, they are a major source of employment. By contrast, there is a great number of work-related accidents in this industry, because works of this magnitude require great physical effort on the part of employees. In addition to risks that are inherent in civil works, many engineering companies fail to adopt accident prevention policies, which can be an aggravating factor in these cases. The present study sought to observe the routine of workers while carrying out basic sanitation works in the town of Ibirama (SC, Brazil). Data were collected and observations were made about workers’ behavior and work routine to check how they dealt with occupational safety and health. The results show that there is no compliance with minimum safety requirements as regards use of individual and collective protective equipment (PPE and CPE) and use of road work signs by either the employees or the company. Not only is occupational safety and health neglected by the company, but it is also overlooked by employees, who do not worry about their own protection although they are exposed to risks. Therefore, the company is supposed to implement a policy, with the aid of qualified professionals, to raise awareness of the issue. For this purpose, companies must hire an occupational safety and health specialist as a regular member of staff.
