Artigo Científico Acesso embargado Cuidado de enfermagem frente a pacientes com esquizofrenia em internação psiquiátrica(2020) Quadros, André Luiz de SouzaIntroduction: Schizophrenia is a group of severe mental disorders. In some cases, psychiatric hospitalization is recognized as a clinical therapeutic instrument, and should be used when other health services are unable to provide the necessary assistance. Objective: to know the nursing care for patients with schizophrenia in the psychiatric hospitalization process. Methodology: exploratory-descriptive, qualitative study. It was carried out with 15 nursing professionals at the Clínica de Psiquiatria Vivencial Lídia Rosa, in the form of a questionnaire. Bardin's content analysis technique was used for the analysis. The study was approved by CEP Unisul. Results: it was observed that 60% were female, 80% live in the same municipality where they work, 53.3% were aged 25 years or less, 50% were graduated and worked for less than four years, 60% did not they had a specialization or training course, 80% worked in only one place, and 73.3% felt satisfied working in the area. Everyone stated that the role of each member of the team is determined and the team determines a person for the verbal approach. When approaching patients in crisis, the greatest difficulty is being attacked (46.67%), 33.3% said they did not have difficulties. 73.3% said they had already used a tougher approach. Regarding the change after the Psychiatric Reform, 46.7% say there were very few changes, and 46.7% did not change any practice. Regarding what would be the ideal approach and management, 40.0% said it was an approach that would bring more security. Conclusion: With regard to humanized practices for approaching schizophrenic patients according to the reality of the institution, they would be: provide more training for the team and have a more secure approach.
