Monografia Acesso fechado Alongamento por facilitação neuromuscular proprioceptiva em bailarinas de jazz dance(2020) Torres, João AntunesIntroduction: dance is one of the oldest forms of expression and an artistic modality widespread, and Jazz dance is one of the main modalities. In rehearsals, the search for high levels of flexibility, muscle strength and agility is constant. The flexibility of the hamstring muscles is very important for the dancer, making it possible to perform the lifting movements of the legs. The proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) technique consists of exercises that use specific diagonal and spiral movement patterns, as well as afferent stimuli, promoting the triggering of neuromuscular potential. Objective: to analyze the effects of PNF stretching on improving flexibility in dancers from a Jazz Dance group in the city of Tubarão, Santa Catarina. Methods: experimental, exploratory and quantitative study. Ten female Jazz Dance dancers were selected, numbered and allocated into two groups: Experimental Group (GE) with the application of PNF stretching and the usual rehearsal and Control Group (GC), in which they only performed the rehearsal. Both were evaluated and reevaluated in the same way, in order to measure the effects of the technique. Results: the results were not significant, but indicated an increase in rom in goniometry and an extended leg elevation test in the reevaluation. Conclusion: it is concluded that the PNF stretching technique showed good results, showing a positive acute effect in improving the rom and flexibility of the dancers, however, further studies on the use of the technique in this population are necessary, as there is few researches related to this population. As a result of the surgical procedure, some postural changes occur due to the acquired analgesic posture, and joint limitations also occur due to the surgical incision and its complications. This study will be compared to the effectiveness of the Isostretching® method and hydrokinesiotherapy for joint amplitude gain and postural correction. Methods and Materials: A study of the experimental type performed at the Clinic School of Physical Therapy at Unisul, Tubarão - SC. It was performed in 10 sessions consisting of the evaluation, which analyzes the joint amplitude of the shoulder in the abduction and flexion movements and the postural evaluation of the trunk and upper limbs; after applying the two therapeutic methods in two distinct groups (8 sessions); and reevaluation. Results: The estimated sample number (n = 30) was not achieved. A total sample of 6 volunteers divided into 2 groups (n = 3) each was obtained. In the comparison there was no statistically significant increase of articular amplitudes and postural alignments (p <0.05) in the physiotherapeutic treatments compared. Final Remarks: In the present study, the two methods demonstrated similar effects, however, the result was not significant (p <0.05) because the number of volunteers estimated for the study was not reached. It is suggested that further studies be performed.
