Artigo Científico Acesso aberto Revisão da literatura: Biossegurança aplicada à estética(2019) Rosa, Bruna LeandroThe growing interest in aesthetic procedures demands that professionals in the area have great responsibility and commitment to work, especially when it comes to biosecurity measures. Given this, the objective was to identify the main biosafety measures addressed in academic productions in the area of aesthetics. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review, in which searches were performed in two electronic libraries, covering a selected collection of Brazilian scientific journals, VHL (Virtual Health Library) and Scielo (A Scientific Electronic Library Online). Results: Of the 09 studies, the most addressed biosafety measures were: cleaning and sterilization of materials 88.9% (n = 8), the use of PPE 77.6% (n = 7) and hand hygiene 55, 6% (n = 5). Conclusion: It was observed the need for a broader approach when it comes to the area of aesthetics, because of the articles analyzed, the vast majority deals only with care in beauty salons, more specifically the services of manicure and pedicure. Biosafety is an extremely important subject and needs studies also focused on other fields of aesthetics, since today the market of body and facial aesthetics has grown significantly.
