Several cosmetic treatments are offered to lessen the impacts of aging skin. Thus, the objective of this study was to gather data on the particularities and mechanisms of action that growth factors exert on the skin tissue in the treatment of aging. The present study consists of a descriptive research of a qualitative approach, developed in the form of bibliographic research, where the data collection was carried out between November 2017 and April 2018, in which a consultation was carried out in books, scientific articles and in the database of PUBMED, MEDLINE and BVS data with articles available in electronic media. Of the articles selected according to the keywords skin, cosmetic and aging, an average of 24 studies were used. Through this study, it was possible to conclude that the growth factors accelerate the repair process of the cutaneous tissue, providing better results to the aesthetic treatments of facial rejuvenation.
