Tese Acesso aberto Tubarão e o imaginário de 1974: marcas simbólicas de um rio, vestígios de mitologias hídricas, a mitologização de uma catástrofe e os traços que identificam uma comunidade imaginada(2017) Máximo, Willian CorrêaFor a community in Southern Santa Catarina, Tubarão is not only a synonymous for fish (It means shark in English). The toponymal, for the town inhabitants is the European adaptation for Tub-Nharô, fierce chief, of brave face, who led a Guarani village near to the river that cuts the town from side to side: Tubarão. In the March 1974 second half, Tubarão raised and transformed the town in a sea of water and mud, and suddenly – from a guardian – it changed into a voracious monster, transfigured into a simple cyclical phenomenon in a symbolic plot. The aim is to identify peculiarities from that March 1974, in the transversal mythical universes and micro universes and symbolical images from the water daydream of the town inhabitants, as well as the resurgences and convergences that define a mythical local narrative (the myth founder of the great 74 flood), its approximation with other myths director universal and which substantiate, in each epic report, an imaginary and a community imagined. This research is based on a methodological heuristics of Gilbert Durand’s imaginary (hermeneutic myth or mythdologies), as well as on the Archetypical Test of Nine Elements (AT-9), by Yves Durand. Thereunto, in the year 2016, 21 approaches were carried out with subjects from 21 to 84 years old (face to face, individual and collective interactions, properly reported - and attentive to the generation collision by Durand: the first one from 21 to 50 years old, and the second generation contemplating respondents from 55 to 84 years old), applying protocols AT-9 and interviews of question and answer gender, or ping pong, based on semantic baits. From the hermeneutic myth convergence, two perspectives were consubstantiated: the first with identification of marks of mystic blackness, of sword collection, time balance and refuse to leave the family images; and the second one the configuration of a local founder myth and of an imaginary, permanently re-signified by universal mythic-ritual plots which purify by sin purge and regenerated the life. It is about Tub-Nharô resonance and perennial presence, sometimes town, now Indian and then river, but always symbol that join the community to dribble, at least for a moment (a mythical one), the anguish of death and time, in a paradox making that 1974 is more than a chronological or historical moment – an imaginary movement, timeless and therefore, unfinished.
