Relacionando o discurso jornalístico com o interdiscurso, esta dissertação analisa as expressões “à margem” e “farrapos”, mostrando as estratégias de Antonieta de Barros para esquivar-se dos gestos interpretativos, já marcados e estabilizados, enquanto elaborava outros sentidos, à partir de seu lugar, para legitimar o seu dizerDissertação Acesso aberto Os estágios de desenvolvimento e as representações semióticas no contexto do processo ensino-aprendizagem na matemática(2003) Cardoso, Marleide CoanThe objective of this study is to verify the possible existent relations among intelectual development stages and the semiotic representation, in the teaching and learning Mathmatics processes, connected to the study of the function. The sample used was the specific study. The students from first serie of Dehon High School – Tubarão – SC were responsible by the research. A sequence of activities were instruments which they utilized. The activities were shared in six groups in a mathmatic class during the school year of 2002. The activities were organized according to the contents studied by the students during that period. The revision of literature is, mainly, based on studies connected to the stages of development through the Piaget’s and Peirce’ s theories, and the relations in the teaching and learning mathmatics processes according to the context. Through the theories and analyses of the activities made by the students, some conclusions discussed around the context were specified and connected to the goal of this study and people involved in the research.Dissertação Acesso aberto A criança e a recepção da literatura infantil contemporânea: uma leitura de Ziraldo(2004) Bier, Marilena LossThis research project examines the role of children's literature in the intellectual development of children. It reflects on the integration or acceptance of literature according to the child's biological, psychological, and cognitive development and within the Brazilian sociohistorical context. It also investigates how this brand of literature affects readers' thought and language development based on their interaction with Ziraldo's literary texts and considering the author's concern with the child's growing and maturing processes, free of imposed models and valuing each individual and his/her respective differences. These aspects ennoble literary works that appeal to this young public and allows the children to discover themselves and others. The effortlessness with which Ziraldo speaks directly to the imaginary universe of the child is self-evident because he respects the reader's perspective and preserves the reader's space throughout the reading experience. Additionally, he stimulates interest and acts upon intellectual powers, such as the imagination and the aesthetic sense, facilitating the child's development and psychological evolution.Dissertação Acesso aberto Às brincas ou às ganhas? Não dá-ses scaps: o poder da linguagem em sua forma de ação social e intencional no jogo de bolinhas de gude(2004) Paula, Regina Aparecida Milléo deThe purpose of this study of the terms and statements used on the game of gamble is to show, with the "ludic", what involves the production of the enunciation: presupposition, intention, belief, representation, adhesion, the power of changing interpretations and actions of the speaker. I focus changes and effects on the sense, creation and semantic evolution associating to terms utilizes in this game, terms that cause mythic and linguistic worlds to melt. The practice of this enunciation, the game inside the game, makes the symbolical processes become able to be used within the match and the such expected victory, with the subordination of the adversary, not only with the manual ability and aim, but also with the capability, the power of regulating the behavior by using the speech. I postulate that theses acts own an "ilocucionary" power that makes the "ludic" action of the language an art that transits between the semantic and pragmatic fieldDissertação Acesso aberto Terno-de-reis e boi-de-mamão em Içara (SC): as relações dialógicas na linguagem folclórica do ciclo natalino num município multiétnico(2004) Fernandes, Elza de MelloThis dissertation is in context of two folkloric manifestations of the Christmas cycle in Içara county (SC): terno-de-Reis and boi-de-mamão, in a dialogic perspective between the verbal and non-verbal languages (in this, with emplasis to constituent simbology of rituals) characteristics of this popular manifestations. We have taken as a goal the description of the communicative potential that these manifestations represent in Içara county (SC), selected for the present study throug the plurality of its ethnic constitution: Lusitanian-Azorian,Italian, Polish (the most evident in the county) and also the Indigenous and African2 substract. We proposed to explore the lead the research trough the analyses accomplished under three semiotic viewpoints: (i) the qualitative-iconic, (ii) the singular-indicative and (iii) the conventionalsymbolic, in the try to better describle what the affects are, which translate the symbologies of this fokloric manifestations in the socio-historic-cultural context of Içara. Therefore, we start from a socio-historic retrospective of the constitution and formation of these two manifestations of the Christmas cycle correlated to the Lusitanian-Azorian culture, with emphasis on the origin of the folklore (from the sacred to the profane) that covers the manifestations of the popular artDissertação Acesso aberto Proposta curricular de Santa Catarina: um lugar de confronto entre o discurso pedagógico e o discurso científico(2004) Prudêncio, Perpétua GuimarãesThe present work, based on the theoretical and analytic devices of the Analysis of the Speech (PÊCHEUX, 1969 and 1975, and ORLANDI, 1983,1990,1999), analyzes the text of the Curricular Proposal of Santa Catarina and an exemplary text of Plan of Discipline in order to understand how texts which have as purpose to be complementary are confused. Because of it, it was confronted some senses built in the text of the Proposal with some senses built in a plan of exemplary discipline; so that, in this confrontation the estrangement was evidenced among the virtual readers, in other words, among the authors of the respective texts. The school as an institutional responsible space for those texts was also considered. Through its discursive practices which involve the production/connection/reproduction of the knowledge (scientific), it was possible to reflect on the operation of the pedagogic speech (PS), predominant in this conjuncture in its relation with the scientific speech (SS). That way, the analysis showed the imaginary that constitutes the reader for the authors of Curricular Proposal’s text is the reader who is a member of the scientific community. However, the common reader of that text with his/her material determinations (historical/social), is that teacher who is not part of the scientific community because when he/she is, he/she feels as a strange to the process of knowledge production and, therefore, he/she does not have a position as a member of the scientific community. As a result of this, the teacher, real reader of text of the Curricular Proposal, is unable to unchain the process of significance of the referred textDissertação Acesso aberto Aulas de filosofia com alunos de sétima série do ensino fundamental: análise de processos interacionais com base na teoria da relevância(2004) Matiolla, José AntonioThis work analyses the ostensive-inferential processes in interactions between teacher and students in lessons of Philosophy, which ethical questions about abortion as a subject. The research was based on Lipman's (1990) pedagogical principles, and on Sperber and Wilson's (1986, 1995) and Carston's (1988) representational levels of logical form, explicature, and implicature. The data were obtained with 30 seventh degree students of Basic Level of Dehon School (Tubarão-SC, Brazil) when these students have discussed the Nunes and Silva's (2001) text Gravidez e aborto (Pregnancy and abortion), in small and great groups. The analysis was demonstrated that: i) the assumptions of the support text had been used, but they had never spontaneously occurred, and they were dependents of the intervention of the teacher; ii) the teacher influenced the access to the assumptions and the inferences carried through for the students, also those ones absentees in the support text; and, iii) the assump-tions that had emerged of he experiences of the students and were absent in the text or in the interventions of the teacher, had been stimulated by the teacher's interventions. This case was able to demonstrate that the analysis tools were productive to describe and explain how the teacher was important to unchain the inferential process when stimulating the pupil to display, to analyze and to hear the colleagues' opinionsDissertação Acesso aberto 11 de março de 2004: a imagem fotojornalística do atentado terrorista de Madri(2004) Lucas, Silvana MendesThis discourse promotes a study semiotics of the photojournalistic image of the layer of the El periodicals Country, Periodical of Brazil, Leaf of São Paulo and Diário Catarinense, published in the following day to the terrorist attempted against one, occurrence in 11 of March of 2004, the station of Atocha train in Madrid, in Spain. It verifies if the digital technology used na captation, edition and transmission das images brings new understanding, ideology and ethics on the photojournalism in the world contemporary and analyzed the signs comparativily gifts nas photographs, in the perspective semiotics of Charles Peirce and other authors. To add interviews with photojournalists, photograph publishers and publishers daily periodical heads to analyze the manipulation that the digital photograph provides.Dissertação Acesso aberto Interação jogos educativos, docente e estudantes em aulas de matemática sobre números inteiros: análise com base na teoria da relevância(2005) Santos, Scheyla Damian Preve dosThis research intended to analyze, on the basis of the Sperber and Wilson’s (1986, 1995) Relevance Theory concepts of logical form, explicature and implicature, the interaction between teacher and students in educative games of mathematical lessons on entire numbers, with 15 pupils of the sixth series, class 01, of Colégio Dehon in Tubarão, SC. The findings, besides demonstrating the basic paper of the human interaction in learning, had permitted to conclude that: the theoretical concepts had allowed to describe and to explain the ostensiveinferential processes yielded of the interactional practices, that are motivated by the games; the teacher, permanently, had encouraged the logical reasoning; the pupils had negotiated solutions for the questions of the games, operating inferentially, in cases of specific difficulties with the rules of signals. Moreover, the interactions, besides privileging the learning of the mathematics itself, had been capable to promote ethical aspects, and in this direction, the teaching behavior did not limit itself on technician aspects, but over all on ethical behaviorsDissertação Acesso aberto Análise crítica da identidade do professor de língua portuguesa da rede municipal de Jaraguá do Sul(2005) Torizani, José EdibertoThis research has to do with Critical Discourse Analysis Studies (from now on, CDA). CDA belongs to discourse analysis area and has as its main researcher Norman Fairclough. According to CDA the social interactions that occur though discourse in different contexts (education, enterprise, etc), influence considerably interlocutor’s, social, professional and personal identities. So, having in mind that the classroom is a discursive place where different identities are constructed and reconstructed, this research focuses on Portuguese teacher’s identity. Data was obtained from questionnaires answered by twelve Portuguese teachers from Municipal Schools in Jaraguá do Sul/SC. This data was analyzed and discussed from the three discursive effects proposed by Fairclough (2001): representations of reality, social relations and social identities. This theoretical support is closely related to Halliday’s (2004) language metafunctions proposed by systemic functional grammar. So, the main objective of this study is to gather information related to this issue, which analysis a variety academic works related to this subject. It is important to consider that to constitute a language capable permit the interaction between the sender and the receiver of a message is very complex strategic decision process. Knowing that the one condition to give meaning to a message is to understand the practical situation encountered in the core of the language use. It needs the direct action among the parts involved in the communication process that makes possible to infer a dependency correlation between the context and the instruments that to permit an efficient communication. So that, to collect images, to digitalize, to edit, and to prepare them is part of the production process that gives meaning to a message. Taking these elements as premises to communicate, this research analyzed the language through out the use of framing, editing and treatment images resources, as well as the images transition. The comparison between digital and analogic videos works constitute part of this investigation also. To give richness the quantitative results it was made a correlation between these results and read literature. The figures statistics were transformed in an important message data which supported the premise that the chosen framing, editing, and treating image technique as well as production effects constitute a process of construction of texts and meaningful messageDissertação Acesso aberto Inscrições de si: da porta de banheiro ao chat(2005) Bordin, Dagoberto JoséWriting pervades human history, from rupestrian inscriptions to internet. Although supports change – walls, papyrus, parchments, tiles, papers, computer monitors – there remains a register, which transports human being beyond its own existence and which, precisely, renders it existing. In this thesis, I argue that restroom graffiti, apocryphal and ephemeral by their nature, are a link of the chain that identifies human being as the one who is capable of writing. It is an entity that can be figured out through its marks. Without aiming to interpret inscriptions, I restrict myself to observing that a great amount of impressions prefer to be revealed on the subversive support of the cell defined by the restroom door. And that the freedom of being anonymous that characterizes that door is kept when its contents are transposed to internet chatsDissertação Acesso aberto História narrativa e matéria de estudo: pressupostos da disciplina história entre os docentes de história e os especialistas do ensino médio do município de Tubarão, Santa Catarina(2005) Motta, Alexandre de MedeirosThis work has as bigger concern to analyze and to argue on the direction of the expression "study substance" that is related much more to the trend of History Narrative (positivista) as one estimated of disciplines History. In this direction, in the field of the linguistic semantics, the Theory of the Articulation of Ducrot searched as referencial, in which if it argues on the categories of the rank, estimated and implied, and, in the field of History, the ideas of some historians, being difficult to enumerate which of them it was most important for the development of this research. In regards to methodology it was decided for the qualitative investigatório process of field, in the form of a case study. For this, a questionnaire was applied (half-structuralized) enters the professors of History and the specialists who act in the average education of the city of Tubarão and later if she analyzed and she described to say them of the same ones, culminating in a quarrel to the light of the theories of History and the Linguistic Semantics, as it was mentioned previously. How much to the results of this work, one evidenced that the expression "study substance" is an inference of History Narrative, in the direction to focus it as one estimated of disciplines History, confirming the idea of that its education still very is come back toward the domínios of the contents programmarians of didactic books, as also, for a demasiadamente pretensiosa concern in relation the aspect of the scientific objetividade. This last aspect (of the objetividade) without a doubt is considered as one of the foundations that structuralize warranting the scientific communication while of exitosos results in the space of the classroom. The professor of History, in this perspective, passes to be considered much more as a reproducer of the receituário programmarian contained in the written pages of the didactic book. It will be seen how this history describes the journalistic pratices and the values of the society of time which it was written, and also how it excites a reflection about journalism nowadays. Theories of literature and the journalism will serve as base for the identification of journalism as a subject in the literature. Also the concept of theme will be base for this initial part. The conceptions of polyphony and dialogism (BAKHTIN, 1992, 2003), will be taken in account so that if it could be understood as the novel of Lima Barreto configures as a possible satire of the reality lived for the author. It will be verified which way the novel is configured as in agreement “resistance work” in contraposition to the “mirror work” concept.Dissertação Acesso aberto (Des)leituras de uma identidade visual(2006) Dias, Alvaro RobertoIn the present dissertation I make a discussion about the visual identity and its readings. For this purpose, I’ve searched data developed by myself in the Nucleus of Design Management (or NGD), a research group from different areas of knowledge, formed by researchers, professors and graduation and post-graduation students, from the Design course of the Santa Catarina Federal University. The NGD, in partnership with the Institute of Planning and Economy Agricultural of Santa Catarina (Cepa/SC Institute)3 , tied to the State Secretary of the Agriculture and Rural Development, has initiated the development, in September of 2003, of the creation of a visual identity (an aggregation of graphical elements that construct the visual characterization or identification of a name, an idea, a product or a service) for a familiar agriculturists group from the region of Canoinhas, Santa Catarina state, that, so far, used to sell their products in the fairs without identification or mark4 . The work developed by the NGD for the agriculturists group from Canoinhas, the Agrupar, consisted in the elaboration of a visual identity and in the orientation of its application in the products. It had been delivered for its representatives in February 2004, plus a research about the acceptance and agreement of the mark. The findings and the evaluation of the effects caused by the visual identity above the group perception by the community as well as the own group perception about themselves were not part of this work. It seems that, for the Design in general, the methodology and the process of graphical development of a visual identity are enough to guarantee its success. The question is: which are the bases of this sufficiency and what does the term “success” mean? Professionally, I was not satisfied with the way that the project was concluded; to think that only the graphical result would be enough by itself, demonstrates a lack of vision about the impact that a work like this causes, beyond the magnitude of its execution. Not to follow the implantation of the identity, including the difficulties and the successes, causes an abandonment feeling to its own destiny, as much to the group as to the logotype. In other words, my aim is to show that the development of a visual identity demands from the professional who works with communication, a constant work of attendance and application of the mark. And the incipient authorship get lost (and this, the responsible professional must have the humbleness to accept) in so far as the release also offers the chance to the customer to build to this same mark through its multiple readingsDissertação Acesso aberto Exclusão pela inclusão: a constituição de sentidos na educação especial(2006) Souza, Catarina Rivadávia Silva deThis work, based on theoretical and analytical frameworks from Discourse Analysis (Pêcheux, 1969 and 1975, and Orlandi, 1983, 1990, 1999), expects to understand the senses produced about Special Needs people, especially the discourse on “general and unrestricted inclusion for all”. This study analyses the following materials: three posters of campaigns produced by Fundação Catarinense de Educação Especial (Special Education Foundation of Santa Catarina State, Brazil), three reports published by the diaries Diário de Santa Catarina, Diário do Nordeste and O Mossoroense, one report published in the magazine Gente Especial, and finally a paper presented at PUC/MG in the conference III Seminário Internacional Sociedade Inclusiva. With this research the intention is to contrast the senses built through these materials with those developed by the inclusion discourseDissertação Acesso aberto Corpo e moda: mediações imagéticas para o consumo e liberdades possíveis : estratégias de resistências nas performances de Flávio de Carvalho e Ronaldo Fraga(2006) Jesus, Iáscara Oara deIn this we work, we pursued Flávio de Carvalho and Ronaldo Fraga (artists/stylists) strategies of resistance concerning the humans and their relationships (their body) with the consumerism in which the world has become at the present; discussing the body in the modern days, its mediation and consequent subjectivities and significations. We start from Foucault’s ideas about the political investment which is done in this body: the compliance ,with the new times, when the body must be well cared, because, in spite of the reproduction, there is the production and maximization through the technologies. From this mediation, spaces can occur, creating other subjectivities: discontinuities (not the desires of the power-control system, but other connections, for instance, critics to the system itself). We demonstrate the importance of the field of fashion, its habits and symbolic power thereupon registered so that, through this field-space, we can discuss the strategies of the resistances proposed by Flávio de Carvalho and Ronaldo Fraga, denouncing the wrong sensation of freedom in which the humanity has plunged; taking advantage of the own spaces of fashion, they criticize, calling us back to consciousness, to the information and to the non-homogeneity and its consequent loss of ‘identity’. Flávio de Carvalho as well as Ronaldo Fraga defend a new way of existence, that is, reexistence, for the resistance itself is its way of existing. Their interventions are conscious political acts, because only from this consciousness we could seek the ‘possible freedom’.Dissertação Acesso aberto Práticas subversivas na pós-modernidade: o discurso em produções audiovisuais independentes, enquanto ferramenta de resistência à lógica do capitalismo tardio(2006) Ravanello, Ricardo BrisollaThe present work proposes to analyze language in the production of discourse while attitude of denial toward the values scattered by the late capitalism. For this purpose, the work chooses to analyze one of the several ways to produce resistance that tries to subvert the logic of consumption. In this study, we opted for analyzing the audiovisual materials produced in a cineclubbist environment. This moment is understood as being the greatest and totally spread expression of the late capitalism in an advanced stage of the accumulation process, where the capital turns into image. The consumption and the spectacle will be seen as the main generators of tension, anguish and way of social domination and manipulation, being this way one of the points in which we imagine to find resistance or subversive postures. The location of a postmodern environment solely serves as backdrop for discussing these two current problematic issues, the consumption and the spectacle and, mainly, for verifying how an activity such as cineclubbism can motivate the production of subversive discourses
