Artigo Científico Acesso embargado Efeitos do LED azul e do LASER vermelho associados ao ácido salicílico no tratamento da acne(2018) Benedet, Larissa Espindola; Titon, Julia MateusAcne vulgaris is a cutaneous disease that results in an inflammation in the pilosebaceous follicle, which can affect from 85 to 100% of the population at some point in life. The present research aims to analyze the effects of light emitting diode (LED) and light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation (LASER) associated with salicylic acid in the treatment of acne vulgaris in teenagers. This is an exploratory and quantitative research, with a sample of nineteen(n = 19) volunteers. After CEP approval, volunteers were recruited and treatment was started with the Elite DMC® LED and low power LASER device, twice a week for 4 weeks, totalizing 8 sessions of application. The data were classified and statistically analyzed in a descriptive way and wit tables, presenting average, standard deviation, proportion and statistical calculation through T student test.As results it can be observed that there was a reduction of papules and pustules in the two treated groups, and the group that received the combination of acid with LED and LASER obtained significant results in cutaneous hydration, adverse effects of hyperemia, pruritus, burning and sensitivity. It was concluded that the association of salicylic acid with LED and low-power LASER present significant reduction of papules and pustules with less adverse effects.
