Artigo Científico Acesso embargado Influência do tratamento quimioterápico sobre o estado nutricional de pacientes oncológicos atendidos em um hospital do Sul de Santa Catarina(2017) Ferreira, Eulla Keimili FernandesIntroduction: Cancer encompasses more than 100 diseases that have in common the disordered growth of cells. The tumor presence as well as antineoplastic therapies directly affect the nutritional status of cancer patients. According to the Body Mass Index (BMI). The majority of the patients were overweight in both T0 and T1, 63.2% and 57.9%, respectively. Regarding the weight change in the last months was obtained 36.8% of severe weight loss. The comparison of the variables between the two moments showed significant differences for the BMI and TSF variables. Conclusion: Although the majority of the patients were overweight, according to BMI, a high percentage of nutritional depletion was observed, which highlights the importance of nutritional monitoring during the chemotherapy treatment in this population.Artigo Científico Acesso embargado Prevalência de sintomas de disbiose intestinal e a sua relação com a obesidade em pacientes de uma clínica médica de Tubarão/SC(2019) Amaral, Bianca DemétrioIntroduction: Recently, eating habits and lifestyle have been modified, there has been an increase in the consumption of caloric, industrialized foods, sedentary lifestyle and obesity. A total of 124 students from the nutrition course participated in the research, where it can be observed that the risk for intestinal dysbiosis was present in only 31.5% of the research participants. The most cited symptom was swollen/with distended abdomen with 75.8% and the type of stool most cited was type three with 46.7%. Discussion: It was observed that most participants are within the standard considered for normality, in the results of the QRM and in the Bristol scale, which can be explained by the fact that the students present healthy eating habits. New studies and food and nutrition education are recommended for students and general population on the subject.Artigo Científico Acesso aberto Prevalência de sintomas de disbiose intestinal em gestantes do município de Rio Fortuna(2020) Alberton, PaulaObjectives: To evaluate the prevalence of symptoms of intestinal dysbiosis in pregnant women in the city of Rio Fortuna, through the virtual application of the Metabolic Tracking Questionnaire (QRM), adapted to the gastrointestinal tract, and the Bristol scale. Methods: Cross-sectional and descriptive study conducted with pregnant women in prenatal care at the Public Health Service or at the private medical practice in the city of Rio Fortuna, between July and September 2020. Data were collected through a virtual questionnaire. Results: Of the 16 women evaluated, 68.75% (n = 11) presented probable symptoms for intestinal dysbiosis. Of the total, 43.75% (n = 7) of the participants were classified as having adequate nutritional status. The relationship between probable intestinal dysbiosis and the variables showed a greater chance for pregnant women in the second trimester and who had an adequate nutritional status. Conclusions: The results obtained suggest that pregnancy may be related to the onset of intestinal dysbiosis. The study also contributed to the positive analysis of the nutritional status of the pregnant women attended. Few are the findings in the literature that analyzed gastrointestinal symptoms during pregnancy, which suggests relevance for further studies to be carried out.
