Monografia Acesso aberto Aviação comercial brasileira: a gestão estratégica das empresas aéreas em face aos fatores externos às organizações(2020) Albuquerque Filho, Marcelio OliveiraThis final paper aimed to analyze how external factors influenced the operations and economic management strategies of scheduled airliners based on the main changes in Brazilian commercial aviation in the last twenty years. Throughout the work, factors such as segment regulations, wars, climatic factors, the country's internal and external economic and political situation, epidemics, pandemics, among others, were identified and listed as objects of study. The methodology used in this study was scientific with a qualitative approach, the theoretical basis came from authors such as Kajibata (2010), Porter (1986), Helms (2010), whereas the collection of documentary data was obtained in the search of annuals from ANAC and ABEAR, understanding and showing the changes in the regulatory, political and economic scenarios and their interactions in the airliners segment in view of their financial strategies. In the past twenty years, the country has witnessed different external scenarios that directly influenced the activities of the national airliners segment, where, new entrants in this segment and airliners gone, the development of state-of-the-art aircraft can also be seen. segment growth, new routes, investments in infrastructure, new regulations, regulatory agents, the impact on the economy, among others. Market strategies carried out by the main Brazilian airlines in the last two decades (GOL, LATAM, AZUL and AVIANCA) were discussed, as well as their changes over the past two decades to date, and their prospects for the segment for 2020 in the face of to the current scenario of Brazilian and global aviation as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic that has impacted the airline industry since its emergence at the end of last year in China. The study concludes that the airline industry is highly sensitive to changes in external scenarios and their interactions can be decisive for the continuity of the operations of Brazilian scheduled air transport companies, raising the importance of adequate strategic decision making.
