Children, teenagers and adults are practicing less physical activity because of the bad habits of our society today, and motivating early children about the benefits of exercise enables them to have an active and healthy lifestyle in the future. A possible solution, in addition to school physical education, are extracurricular activities, more specifically sports schools. The aim of the study was to analyze the level of health-related physical aptitude of 28 boys, aged 10 to 11 years, practicing and non-practicing of futsal training. The study was of descriptive level, quantitative approach, cross-sectional, and through the PROESP-Br test protocol presented values with significant positive difference for the group of practitioners in the tests of General Resistance / Six minutes (running), Flexibility / Sitting and Reach (without Wells bench), Strength and resistance abdominal test: (Sit-ups). Unlike the measurement of body mass index (BMI) that did not show significant difference. Within the testing protocol, group members were also classified within the health risk zone and the healthy zone. Hence, it can be concluded that regular practice of futsal training positively influences the physical aptitude and health levels of children aged 10 and 11 years.Artigo Científico Acesso aberto Percepção da aptidão física e atividade física de escolares e praticantes de futsal(2020) Becker, Pedro Nuncio; Costa, Saulo AlbinoThis study aims to verify the perception of physical fitness and physical activity among male adolescents aged 11 to 13 years old who practice school physical education and those who used to practice extracurricular futsal regularly before the pandemic COVID-19. The research is characterized by a descriptive and comparative level, with a quantitative and cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 20 students of the School of Basic Education Dr. Miguel de Patta, with 10 students attending the City Sports Commission (G1) and 10 who perform Physical Education curriculum and daily activities (G2). The assessment of the students' perception of physical fitness and physical activity was determined through an online and face-to-face questionnaire. After collecting the results of all the participants, a descriptive analysis was performed to determine the adolescents' perception and a comparative inferential analysis to make the comparison between the two groups. The results showed no significant difference between both groups as compared to the usual physical activity. It is believed that these results may be due to the recommended isolation measures due to the COVID-19 pandemic as classes are being done online and training is suspended. G1 still presented better results than G2, but very close. It is important to emphasize that the practice of a modality such as Futsal, provides an improvement in the adolescent's quality of life.
