Artigo Científico Acesso aberto Possíveis contribuições da inteligência marítima em proveito da atividade de inteligência desenvolvida no estado do Rio Grande do Sul(2021) Soares, Jorge Luiz Ferrari de LimaThe public security intelligence activity, at the state level, is performed by agencies that are part of the Public Security Intelligence System (SISP), which is a subsystem of the Brazilian Intelligence System. In this context, as part of these subsystems, the Intelligence Sections of Naval Area Commands are inserted, representing a link between the Navy Intelligence System and the SISP itself. Among the various types of knowledge produced by the Brazilian Navy intelligence agencies, a certain segment may be underutilized by the other members of the SISP, that is, that specifically related to Maritime Intelligence. Public security intelligence agencies can benefit a lot from the work carried out by MB's intelligence agencies, however, it is essential for this to materialize, to stimulate a dynamic of mutual knowledge and cooperation between those actors . In this sense, the Command and Control structures of the Brazilian Navy dedicated exclusively to the real-time monitoring of all maritime, lake and river activity in the jurisdiction may receive representatives of public security intelligence agencies periodically, on the occasion of coordination meetings or even for planning major inter-agency operations. The capillarity provided by the MB's waterway traffic safety system offers a unique approach to the entities of the region's maritime Cluster, a capacity that should not remain restricted to the heart of the Naval Force, due to the potential benefits to public security agencies with regard to combating several criminal modalities that use the liquid environment to carry out their criminal actions.
