Artigo Científico Acesso fechado Características da compra direta de alimentos da agricultura familiar para o programa nacional de alimentação escolar em municípios da região Sul de Santa Catarina(2018) Pieri, Renata da Silva deObjective: To analyze the characteristics of food purchased from Family Agriculture for the National School Feeding Program in municipalities of the Southern Region of Santa Catarina in 2017. Methods: This is a cross-sectional, exploratory and descriptive survey of the census type, where the sample comprised all municipalities in the Southern Region of Santa Catarina (n = 46). Data were collected through an electronic questionnaire and associations between variables were assessed using the chi-square test (p <0.05). Results: The study counted on the participation of 89.1% (n = 41) of the municipalities. Of these, 100% (n = 41) presented nutritionist as Technical Responsible for the program. In 2017, 100% (n = 41) of the municipalities of the Southern Region of Santa Catarina acquired food from family agriculture for school feeding. The type of resource management was represented in 100% (n = 41) by the centralized management. In relation to the percentage invested in the acquisition of family farming products, more than half of the municipalities, 52.9% (n = 18) reported purchasing between 30 and 50%, and 47.1% (n = 16) reported acquiring above 50%. Conclusion: All municipalities complied with Law No. 11,947, which aims at the minimum investment in family agriculture of 30% of the total amount passed on to the National School Feeding Program by the National Education Development Fund. Because it is a recent law of the country, there is a need for more studies with a similar approach.
